I stayed here with my teenage daughter for 4 nights. Our hotel room was facing the nightclub which was really noisy If you kept the patio doors open. We couldn't sit on the balcony as it wasn't private and was overlooked by the people sitting outside the bar opposite who could look directly into our room.
We were on the 1st floor and mostly had to keep the curtains shut when in the room.

It's just a 2 minute walk to the beach. There is no pool in this hotel so nowhere to sit in the sun . We booked it without checking this.
The staff on reception were very helpful and we were unable to change rooms as the hotel was fully booked. This hotel would be perfect for those wishing to use it as a base for socialising but not for those who want to just relax. I wouldn't book to stay again mainly because there was no pool. It was dated but clean.

If your looking for a relaxing place this is not for you. Although you get what you pay for while clean it’s out dated. Beds lumpy not vey comfortable. Certainly fine for someone here to party.
The disco is directly across the street and sometimes making loud noise until 5am! Get a room up or out back!
Breakfast minimal but nice. Hotel Next to direct route to the beach . Bus stop close by to get to Lagos or Faro. Staff friendly all in all OK but expect simple and bring ear plugs!

Very noisy hotel, impossible to rest, if one day tripadvisor decides to elect the most noisy hotels in the world, this hotel will probably win... If is not the music from the road, will be the noise from the other rooms (the walls are like paper, you can hear everything), noisy guests (drunk during the night), and the worst thing... The lift!... Where that lift came from? I was awake most of the night due to that lift. The hotel needs a massive refurbishment, the room is old and tired, the tv is a joke (very small and very old), toilet is tiny, the queen bed is old, smelly and is two little beds together, instead of one big. Staff is far from friendly. Breakfast is inclusive, but you only have bread, butter, cheese, coffee and milk... Nothing else! No yogurts, cakes, bacon, eggs, etc. Location is the only good thing. Very close to the beach and close to the main road in Praia da Rocha. I am Portuguese, and I know my country very well... Believe when I say, unless you are a very young person, getting drunk all night and sleep like a stone after that, you should avoid this hotel.

It was a prefect great location just far from the airport but amazing spot and great room for price
BUT the staff are awful...the housekeeper stole 200euros from my purse and 70 euros from my friends purse and 60pounds also. We reported it to the receptionist and 2 male owners who didnt help us and didnt believe us. we called police the police reported it and told us the hotel has a bad repuation for housekeeper taking money from the rooms. the police was helpful but the hotel staff did not care and stuck up for the housekeepers. the hotel is not good and they are known to hire staff who take your money from your room as advised by the police himself. please dont book they just want your money . they never helped or give me my money back ever. poor service ever.

worst thing is we was crying as it was our 1st day abroad and the bosses looked at us and didnt care !! we didnt feel safe and the same bosses were joking about with the housekeepers and didnt even confront them or sort this.

awful people

Firstly lets take the location because this is the biggest thing about this hotel. If you are a teenager or in your early 20's and are looking for somewhere you can literally fall out of a club and straight into bed then this is the hotel for you. It's not just near the action it's right smack bang in the centre of it, so if your young and not going home until 4am this is the best hotel you will ever stay at, no long staggers home, you can be club to in bed with someone in 3 minutes.

HOWEVER if you are over 23 and require more than 3 hours sleep, then this hotel is probably not for you. Its not just a bit noisy, the whole place reverberates with the bass, and it is virtually impossible to sleep. I was there out of season and even then the noise from the street below was astounding and I was at the back of the hotel on the 7th floor. Luckily the numerous Irish bars behind the strip were closed or else it would have been even worse.

The room was nice, if a little dated. It's not that it was old fashioned it was just very 'woody'. There was a slight dampness to the air but put the heater on (this was April) and that soon knocks that away. The beds look they were made in a bygone age, but in that age it must have been important to be comfortable, because I slept like a baby on those beds. With the slightly olde worlde decor and the comfortable beds I nearly expected to wake up to a butler serving me breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and attentive, the door gets locked after midnight but they night porter is up in a flash to let you in.

All of this for £10 a night, yes it was out of season, but jesus thats insane. For that price I'd have slept in the middle of a field of landmines haunted by Princess Diana. Or a tent that was on fire. It is very true, you get what you pay for, but here the beds were comfy, the room was clean, the staff were friendly and it was in the middle of the action...for £10 a night!!!!!

For those who you wondering why I've given it an average rating, it's because of the location.

Read some of the negative reviews and can not believe the comments, this hotel (for the money) is amazing value, great location in the middle of the strip, when it gets noisy close the door and put the air con on!!!, comfortable room, great modern bathroom, security box 2 euro a day 10 euro refundable deposit, fantastic views (room 307) mini fridge and cleaned every day!
May not be ok for anyone who wants to be tucked up in bed by 9pm but closing the door does block most of the noise even at the front of the hotel. lack of pool maybe a negative for some but you have one hell of a pool a few minutes walk away, the amazingly blue sea with incredible beaches. for us location was great and the aforementioned staff could not be more helpful, Ricardo thank you for the wonderful welcome and offer you made it set the tone for the rest of our stay tanks to all the staff especially Diego and Daniel

I think out of all the reviews I have written on here, this is probably the most difficult one. The staff were friendly. The hotel was clean. The price was incredibly low for the room. We had a lovely sea view for seemlingly no extra cost. However, we were very relieved that we had only booked one night in this place. The noise from the club below was unbearable and there seemed to be very little to do in this hotel in way of facilities or entertainment. I don't think I could have coped more than one night in this hotel. I think if this hotel could be transported somewhere else, it would probably be quite pleasant but being right on top of the main strip is not the best place to be. I can't say it's particularly the hotel's fault and they do what they can but this place is definitely not for me.

just back from a 5 day stay at this hotel. The staff were extemely polite and friendly. nothing was ever too much for them. Breakfast was very substantial and plentiful and fresh. we had a see view which is also opposite the disco but a set of ear plugs drowned out the noise.
room was serviced every day too
would definatly recommed this hotel and the staff are a credit to the management.

Cuidado.
