With a big smile on my face, I can tell the world that on my last trip, I experienced paradise, and immersion into the world of olive oil. Villa Campestri (Italy) was my destination. The word Italy brings to mind images of big-city life in Rome and Florence, a constant flow of pedestrians moving from monument to monument striving to...

My husband and I really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Villa Campestri in June. We booked our stay based on the reviews we read on tripadvisor. The hotel is situated on beautiful tuscan grounds surrounded by trees and rolling hills. The views from the pool and outdoor seating area are breathtaking. When we checked in we were told the...

I lived in Florence for a year and had never been to the Mugello, the hills northeast of the city. It's fantastic country side and the "cradle of the Renaissance," with Giotto and Fra Angelico museums. It would be just as easy to stay put at Villa Campestri, however. Gorgeous pool, fabulous restaurant -- the olive oil menu is fantastic...

To stay in lovely Villa Campestri, high in the hills looking over the Mugello valley north of Florence, is to enter another world, an older, more gracious world where comfort and ease are combined with the warmest of Tuscan welcomes. Peaceful, tranquil, elegant, and civilized, this is a place I'd happily retire to--and if that's not possible I'll just keep...

We had a very nice stay at Villa Campestri. The suite (living room and bedroom) was a good value, and great for a family. The villa is lovely, and the grounds are spectacular. There is no air conditioning so it can be hot in the summer, and no screens on the windows so it can be hard to cool down....

Looking for a visit to a picturebook Italian villa, perched on a hillside with a breaktaking view of the Tuscan countryside, look no further. Villa Campestri has it all. The rooms are authentic in their villa-style. VC's kitchen produces top-notch, extraordinarily fresh meals. The grounds should be models for landscape students. If inclined, hands-on cooking with the resident chef are...

A most amazing bed and breakfast! Friendly and accomodating staff made everyday easy and interesting. We went to nearby towns such as Scarperia and Vicchio and travelled to the Medici Castle Trebbio. We ate at the Campestri restaurant each night to avoid windy dark roads at night. Food was amazing! Don't miss the "heart of Campestri" dessert which includes olive...
