We could not have found a more perfect location for our Sicilian holiday. The hotel is exactly as we were promised on the website. The location is an old converted farmstead in a beautiful olive grove. There are also orange, lemon and pomegranate trees growing in the grounds. At night the lighting in the trees is very atmospheric. The entrance... More

We've stayed here for a week and had a great stay! Accomodation: very beautiful, surrounded by olive & fruit trees, very relaxing. Location: great, conveniently located to all the spots in south-east Sicily, yet very tranquillo in the middel of nowhere feeling. Breakfast: simply amazing, most choice ever offered in Italy, everything fresh and cappucinni served on the outside terrace.... More

We stayed at the Masseria for 8 days in September and found it comfortable, clean and relaxing. It has a lovely pool area and pleasant surrounding gardens. We did manage to get wifi, but this is very hit and miss, depending where you are standing and even the hiotel staff told us that it continually drops out, so don't rely... More

We stayed here for 5 nights (we're a family of four with two teenage boys). The swimming pool, tennis, table tennis & wifi kept the boys happy. My husband and I loved the peaceful, relaxed feel to the place, the spacious gardens and the traditional style buildings. The members of staff were all very friendly and courteous. The restaurant has... More

I recently spent five nights here and was delighted with the entire experience. The place is gorgeous with a fabulous infinity pool surrounded by olive trees which provide plenty of shade. The decor throughout is simple and very tasteful with all interior walls painted white and the rooms are lit by lovely Sicilian pottery lamps. All staff members are extremely... More

Valerie S has already described this place in detail so no need to repeat. Spotless, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation with pared back style which I think is great. Food wonderful, only slightly negative is that we had rather exhausted our options from the unchanging menu but I am sure this would not have been a problem had we asked. The... More

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Masseria Degli Ulivi in June. This hotel is deep in the countryside in a very quiet location. It is set in large, beautifully tended grounds with 2-storey accommodation. We were on the ground floor in Room 7 which was a smallish, traditional room beautifully furnished in the Sicilian style. There was plenty... More

I took my family on a three day holiday at Masseria degli Ulivi. The place is fabulous, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms are simple but comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious and clean. The outdoor area is wonderful with a massive pool surrounded by lovely olive trees. The restaurant food was delicious and plentiful. I have no complaints about... More

It is not easy to find this place, quite far from the main street. This is a resort with a very good restaurant. Here we had a fantastic dinner with high quality food and wine served by an attentive staff. I had “trofiette (handmade pasta) with dried Pachino tomato sauce” and Lamb chops in a Sicilian way. Both were excellent.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Masseria degli Ulivi is nestled in the Iblea countryside where olive trees, carob trees and Mediterranean scents abound. The Masseria is part of the old farm holding, full of character and atmosphere: The Reception area - Restaurant - Bar - Sitting area with reading and conversation rooms. Wherever you turn you will find quiet corners and delightful sights like the small rock and herb garden or the courtyard with table service amongst the jasmine and climbing roses. The rooms are positioned individually on the land, guaranteeing peace and privacy and together with the main building of the Masseria, evoke in the visitor the sensation of being in a small rural village. Most rooms are double and can be Standard or Superior according to size, comfort and outside space for private use. There are also triple and family rooms on two floors. In our comfortable candlelit dining-room, under a traditional roof made of plaster and cane, our guests can enjoy a discreet and friendly service, always attentive to individual requirements and special requests. In summer you can have breakfast outside on the terrace surrounded by the scents and colours of the countryside and in the evening you can dine in the cool of the olive trees immersed in the profound peace of the Iblea nights. Guests can relax and enjoy the large swimming pool and sports area surrounded by olive and carob trees with a sundeck and sun beds as well as a sports area with a tennis court and boules alley. ... more   less
