"A Lumía" means "the lemon" in Sicilian, and you are literally in the middle of vast lemon and orange orchards. A great view towards the baroque town of Noto across the valley. Laura, the owner, is kind, warm and welcoming: you get the great Sicilian hospitality experience. Beautiful food, colourful, abundant, genuine, straight from their orchards and vegetable gardens. Good "farm stay" Surrounded by the perfume of orange and lemon trees in bloom! The rooms are "country" style, with everything. The cooks...excellent and the food just incredible. Also very substantial breakfast. AA short car drive to the UNESCO world heritage town of NOTO..really nice old city in white/honey coloured stone. Nice restaurants.

We spent two nights during a cold winter, the room was well heated and charming, the dinner was very rich and tasty, and the breakfast international with sweets and ham/cheese. The location is really convenient for a trip to Noto and the southern coast.

lovely location and very friendly. The meals are fantastic but be warned four courses is a blow out and too much for us. Not a criticism at all but watch the number of courses is my advice. Noto is a great spot and a good town.

We spent 2 days at this Agriturismo and loved it! The rooms are clean and comfortable and it is set in a stunning location surrounded by lemon groves. We would highly recommend taking your evening meal at the Agriturismo. The food was some of the best we tasted on our trip. The owners are so kind and simply cannot do...

My husband and I stayed at A Lumia Agriturismo, a certified organic farm, in May. The orange and lemon trees were in bloom, providing the most fragrant breezes day and night. Other fruit trees just dripping with ripe fruit for the picking surrounded the guest rooms. All of this pales in comparison to the food prepared by Laura--four course meals...

We stayed here in early April when the orange and lemon trees were still blooming. The views of Noto across the valley and the fragrant breezes were exactly what we needed after a long winter in Boston. A lumia is just a ten minutes to Noto and not far from Siracusa. We came here in spring because of the nearby...

My husband and I visited A Lumia in the month of May after having enjoyed two other Agriturismos in Sicily, both of which served delicious food. However, A Lumia truly shone above the rest. The location itself was beautiful, with stunning views over a valley of lemon groves to the stone built city of Noto on the horizon. A view...

A Lumia offers travelers an excellent Agriturismo experience, perfect for the family as well as for couples seeking a quiet spot. Perfectly located amidst stretches of lemon trees and vine yards, the property is nicely decorated and welcoming. Albeit no out-of-the-ordinary attention has been given to the room we stayed in, the breakfast area as well as Laura's warm hospitality...

Have you ever wished you had family members in Sicily, so you could go and stay with them for an authentic Sicilian experience? Good news -- you don't need Sicilian roots, you just need to stay at Agriturismo a Lumia. Owner Laura, her family and trusted staff will take you in like you're family and make you feel at home....

“The rooms vary in size. The first room they showed us was small but the view from the small window was so wonderful we decided to stay. It was cozy, but a little like camping. If you go in spring or fall chances are you can get one of the larger rooms if you wish.”
