Excellent hotel in the middle of nature, about20 minute walk to a beautiful beach ( or by golf car). Very friendly & helpful staff. Excellent food. Good relaxing music sung by a singer with a great voice. Thar rooms are very comfortable & clean. Worth a visit.
This is the second year that I am staying at the Grande Baia together with my family. We stayed there 19 days in a self catering apartment with good size and layout to fit our needs. Great view of Tavolara from the terrace. The entertainment was the highlight. These guys are amazing. So if you want to be entertained you won't leave the resort disappointed. Mini club for the little ones, acqua gym for the grown up (grande Giulia!) and the baby dancing and show for everyone in the evening. The beach is easy accessible and beautiful. Accommodations are spread across a vast area so ideal during covid time and beyond. Breakfast very good just a few ques in the middle of August to get your food but this hasn't been a problem. Also we noticed they have redone the main swimming pool which is jow brand new. I would recommend this place to family that want to have a holiday in contact with the nature but with all the comfort of a high class resort. …
Having stayed for a week with my partner in September, this was the first time to Sardinia and we were a bit hesitant to travel during COVID as well. I’ve tried to write an honest review below, and know every hotel has bad bits if you look closely enough, but I agreed with the previous reviewer who said this hotel makes life a bit hard work for the holiday maker... These are not bad points, just a frustrating when you’re on holiday - - Water in buffet restaurant dribbles out of dispensers, no plastic bottle refill is allowed at breakfast as per the sign! Although you do get a glass refill bottle provided on your table at dinner time - No food or drinks allowed to be taken out of buffet restaurant again as per the signs! - No amenities on the beach - I had to steel bread rolls and meats to make sandwiches everyday from breakfast! I think they are missing a trick here, as I would gladly pay for overpriced food and drink at the beach as I wasn’t going to trek to the pool bar and back again just for lunch - No toilets at the beach, there are a couple of porta loos which to be fair we’re very clean - Lifeguards put the umbrellas down on beach if it’s too windy - Hotel shop not open on Sunday’s - 1L bottle of water is €3, to avoid bankrupting ourselves we would painstaking fill glasses of water at breakfast (from the dribble tap) and fill up a plastic bottle under the table! - This was my biggest frustration, the AC in room would stop around at some point in the middle of the night and sometimes during the day, so I’d have to call reception to turn back on, which they can do from the computer so it’s a hi-tech system. This happened the entire week, and was a problem across the whole resort so we couldn’t move rooms, we noticed a lot of people slept with their terrace door wide open - they blamed it on a storm that happened a week ago!! Come on guys?!!! And they do not supply fans either - Only one key card for the room, which meant you can’t keep the electric on to charge things when you’re out - No replenished bottles of water in the room - Gardener must have been off as very overgrown grass in resort - If you get a massage you still have to pay €20 to access the pools, however they give us an hour free useable after our massages (which we’re very good) - Shuttle to 2 x nearby beaches and San Teodoro costs €5 per person per way and doesn’t offer a hop on hop off route for the day - would recommend both Impostu and Cinti beaches are they are beautiful, the trip to the town wasn’t worth it as it was very quite and small - €20 deposit for pool towels and €3 charge to get clean towels I did feel they took the COVID measures very seriously, which was great: - face masks in all indoor areas - face masks in buffet restaurant apart from when at your table - designated table for the duration of your stay - hi-tech temperature readers outside restaurant and reception - served buffet food by waiters rather than a free for all - hand sanitiser stations in reception - all staff wearing face masks all the time - reception staff behind glass I know have harped on about the annoying bits, but there good points as well: - beautiful beach, only 10 minute walk down a sandy track through vegetation, which wasn’t as bad as other reviewers made it sound and it’s a very picturesque walk - beach buggy shuttle every 30 mins although we never used it - very comfy loungers with head shade and loads of them - pool and beach are quiet (no loud music) - lifeguards on beach and pool - large food portions, sometimes tepid though - resort not as big as we thought so easy to get around - lovely hotel grounds with views - sky bar and pizza restaurant have great views - lovely pool although is salt water - al la carte restaurant available to book and not over priced All in all we had a lovely stay, the only thing that spoilt it was the AC frustration, and getting woken up in the night because we were so hot where it had turned off. I would probably not return to this resort for that sole reason. …
