We spent almost two weeks at the end of September on the camping site ultima spazzio. 1. Rooster Number one thing annoying us was waking up by a rooster at dawn. Also the donkeys of the camping site and some dogs then couldtake place in this concert. The rooster and chickens are running through the camping site and belong - according to the reception - to the family. 2. Tent We had one of these rented tents. They are nice but quality could be better. A problem for us was that there are a lot of possibilities for mosqitos to come in. So when is got dark we don't put the light on. 3. Camping site Nice camping site with palms and flowers at the pool. And a lot of trees in other areas. 4. Mosqitos We had mosqitos all the day on our veranda. At the pool they were on the evenings. This should be a seasonal problem as it was cool in the nights and the ground wet in the morning. 5. Beach Only a short walk to the beach. It goes steep in the sea and you have to pass a strech of stones before you could get in the water. The sandcorns on the beach are quite big. So it is not nice to walk there barefoot. Su sirboni beach, 15 minutes by car away is and very beautiful altenative.…
Welcome to my review.. I hope you find it helpful! Lets set the scene... we were a party of 8, two families of 4 which includes 4 boys aged between 12 and 16. We have been holidaying together for 9 years so we know what we like and don't like. Of course, some people have higher/different expectations than others, we should always bear this in mind when reading a review! I have given this campsite 5 stars because we had a truly lovely, relaxing holiday. The kids made friends, the staff were so friendly, it’s clean and well organised and everything was just so easy. I loved the proximity to the beach, which was a lovely stroll from our accommodation through the pine-trees. And of course the sun shone every day. What more could we have wanted. To note, it took us 2hrs 15 mins to drive to the campsite from Olbia airport. Once out of the airport area, which takes about 5 mins, the roads are amazing and the views are breathtaking. We did this journey at 8pm. Accommodation We stayed in the Zaffiro accommodations from Sat 3rd August 2019 to Thurs 15th. We had numbers 40 and 41 which were probably the best as they were elevated and together. The first thing to mention is that that even though the accommodation offered everything it said it would (minus a kettle) they are not exactly like the glossy photos!! Either some very good trick photography or just a completely different space? However, they were still very comfortable, everything worked, the 4 ring gas hob was super as was the brilliant sized fridge/freezer. And of course, the air conditioning was a god send! The beds in the boys room were a little skinny! A suggestion to management would be better outside lighting on the decking? However, the dim light might be better for the mosquitoes! The Zaffiro's are a short walk away from the pools and are set in a really pretty rectangle of olive trees and bougainvillea. Really lovely. However, we paid a lot for these so it was nice to get something extra! The outside decking space is the length of the accommodation and is a brilliant space. With these accommodations you get front row sun-beds on the beach and free wifi tokens! Again, its a lovely extra but you have paid for it! The other accommodations looked fine, just closer together. The camping and mobile home set up is close the sea and the toilet and shower block was very clean when I popped in. We used the BBQ area once, again, a very good facility. Recycling facilities were brilliant and everywhere. Pools and bar area Really lovely, 4 clean pools accommodating all ages. As with every holiday with a pool area, it could be tricky to get a sun bed but we tended to go later in the day and didn't have too much problem. There are life guards in one area. The bar staff are super friendly, helpful and spoke pretty amazing English! I had learnt "Please, where is the bathroom" in Italian and he replied in perfect English!! We used the restaurant twice and we were perfectly happy with our meals and the price. As we arrived late on the first night the barman was so accommodating organising snacks for us. Entertainment The crew do not stop working.. they really don't. How they carry on in the relentless heat is truly amazing, always with a friendly smile and a hello. They really are a credit to this lovely campsite. Even though the shows are in Italian, we still enjoyed them as the effort that goes into them really shows. The staff finish around mid night and they are back on the beach before 10am running the volleyball, or whatever is on offer, smiling and getting everyone involved. Watch out for Jimmy’s card tricks.. amazing! Be prepared to buy him a drink! Beach on the doorstep and surrounding area Yes, it does go deep very quickly but I loved the beach. The whole coastline is so unspoilt with not a high rise in sight. This all adds to the relaxation process. The beautiful mountains that frame the beach in the far distance are breath taking and while taking my morning swim, I was in awe. This is where me and my friends Husband differed! He didn't care for the beach as much as prefers more of a cove, rather than a long stretch of sand/small pebbles. However, Cea beach is gorgeous and fits this brief very well and is only a 16 minute drive away. We went to this beach 3 times and set up in a different spot every time, so we saw it from all angles! If you have adrenaline junky kids then there is also a banana boat and a torpedo. Our boys were worried that the torpedo wouldn't be up to scratch as it was pulled by a jet ski and didn't think it would be very fast. When they came off the first thing the 16 year old said was "that was the most insane ride we've ever done".. happy boys, needless to say they had another go! There are also pedalos and a couple of ‘jumping in’ areas. If you are looking for quaint little Italian villages/towns with cute Piazza's for drinking coffees and watching the world go by then maybe this stretch of the Sardinian coastline is not for you? Bari Sardo, 10 min drive away has all the makings of this image but nowhere central and just lacked a certain atmosphere. Whereas this seemed to disappoint our friends a bit (as they love a coffee here and there), it really didn't bother my husband and I. The immediate area does lack a little historical culture (not that our teenagers would have enjoyed this as much as us!) but after speaking to the very friendly and helpful barman at the campsite, we did find some natural springs which were a mission to get to, but well worth it. Our friends, while out looking for coffee piazza's, tried the area with the waterfalls but alas, no water, wrong time of the year! If you can leave your kids on site (eating in their restaurant!) there is a superb authentic Sardinian restaurant just outside the campsite. Unbelievably only 25 euros a head for a 5 course meal with unlimited red or white house wine and water. The view over the farmland as the sun was going down was really special. The food was fresh and tasty. You have to go and pre-book, everyone rocks up at 8pm and then the food keeps coming! The two beach bars on the beach were also fine. The nearest one is cash only. I have probably missed out information that you would really like to know about, but I hope you have found some of my review helpful. In my opinion this campsite rightly deserves 5 stars! Our 15 year old son has given it 9 out of 10 and our 12 year old son an 8 out of 10!! Thank you for a lovely holiday Camping Ultima Spiaggia. I would highly recommend you to friends and family.…
We booked the happy standard mobile home of Happy Camp, which is more expensive than the Happy classic, but I cant recommend it. The location of these mobile homes is just too bad. Super loud "shows" every night, baby could not sleep till midnight. Talking, reading and have a drink on your veranda? Not at this sound level... There are rats down there too. The beach is also very disappointing, very soon very steep, in and at the water no sand, just big pebbles. Nothing like the dream beaches on the rest of the island. The pools are ok and the bar guys are really nice and serve good drinks, but otherwise you better spend your hard earned money elsewhere...
We spent a week in Sardinia in the camp L'Ultima Spiaggia. Suburb were extremely friendly and helpful staff. The pool is amazingly beautiful and clean. Everything is very clean and beautiful. I can only recommend it. There was nothing missing. It's right on the beach so you can hear the ocean. I can not put it all in words, just beautiful. I would go back there again and again. I love it. Until sometime.
The camping is more than nice, and the stuff...hmm...the stuff, no words for! Incredible lovely persons! Everyone here, and the people at the bar Bollicine, alessandro, Valentina,Salvatore, Luca, Alex, Daniele......are more than nice!!! And they make the best cocktails ever....every euro is it worth for the cocktails what they mix, all with love!!! And when you arrive other lovely people on the reception will welcome you with a smile:)
