Stayed 1 night in October 2020. Very clean accommodation in a good location in Monopoli. Free parking outside and a pleasant walk of about 5 minutes into Monopoli old town. Very nice bar and restaurant nearby. Breakfast in a local cafe which was basically a coffee and croissant and was not the best. Bar across the road was very noisy at night with lots of young people congregating on the street until the early hours. Overall happy with this B & B and would stay here again but would skip the breakfast. Also would ask for a room with a decent sea view and not one where you have only a minimal side view.

We had a great stay at BB Portorosso in Monopoli. Sara was a lovely host who made us feel very welcome, explained everything and even suggested places for us to eat. We came by car and could park right outside of the building, which was great and convenient. The property is located a short walking distance from everything, right next to the beach. Our room was comfortable, clean and had a balcony with a lovely sea view, as well as view of the historic city. Monopoli is a beautiful place and we can recommend staying at Portorosso during your visit.

While I knew it wasn't a hotel, I was lead to believe it was a family run B and B. I was expecting something different. It's basically an unsupervised number of rooms in a residential building. I would have liked to know that before arrival. It just wasn't what I expected. Room was fine, it's small but clean, bathroom a little dated. Aircon is good. Location is fabulous, near lots of restaurants and you can almost touch the beach from the room, the view is amazing and lovely to have a balcony to sit out at nighttime (although on uncomfortable seats). Sarah who met us was very friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast was in a bar near the hotel, very disappointing after our other Puglia breakfast experiences, coffee and a not nice croissant, you are allowed one drink and one croissant! Would I stay again, I'm not sure, I might because of the location. Would I recommend to a friend, no.

As many restaurants in the area, they offer crudo di pesce, tuna tartare, and grilled fresh fish- you can choose. The service was good, the wine selection not very large but good enough. The terrace facing the beautifull sea, and a special gelatto fatto in cassa.. I recommend.

A nice building located just opposite a restaurant and the sea shore includes four apartments on its 1st floor (above the ground floor). We booked one of these Apts, which, as we understood, used to be owner's personal flat. We were absolutely impressed by attention to details and high functionality of the design, cleanliness and really a perfect location. Rocco, the owner, has been waiting for our arrival and gave us all necessary information and useful tips when we arrived. The Apartment is brand new, equipped with large cabinets, flat TV, safe box, very functional kitchen, where we found a Nespresso machine, a fridge, a gas stove, a microwave, etc. A nice double bed, located behind a glass wall, and a sofa near the balcony made this space a perfect Triple room. A nice, tiny beach is just opposite the building, as well as a restaurant. The always problematic in Italy parking place is not an issue here, as there are a few free parking slots around. The contact with the owner was easy (we sent a couple of whatsapp messages before arrival and departure). In addition, there is a lady coming everyday for cleaning, she may help in case of questions. I wish I had this kind of accommodation in every place I choose for my next trip. Would be back there without any doubt!
