Mirella B&B was amazing! Beautiful property in the middle of olive trees, with its own trulli as part of the structure. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, with a very comfortable bed and anything you can ask for. They have even left some bottles of water, snacks, and some mandarines for us from their own trees. The bathroom was large and very clean. The owners are lovely as well, friendly, helpful, providing information about the area, food, and culture... and the breakfast... the breakfast deserves an extra star! Home made pastries, sweets, yogurt and jams, locally sourced ham, cold cuts, cheeses, and bread, perfect cappuccinos... Honestly, just go there for the breakfast! We did not use the pool (too late in the year) but it looked amazing!

We stayed 3 nights and we can’t fault anything! The breakfast was plenty and of high quality items, such as home made yoghurt (delicious!), local fruits, mozzarella Di buffala and other nice cheeses, bresaora and other cold cut meats, home made jams, tasty cappuccino. We used the pool one day and my 6yo daughter loved it. It had tubes for her to float with. The water is at 28C, and once you get in, you warm up quickly. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. The room was comfortable and very clean. There was complimentary water in the fridge and taralli, which was a nice touch! Luigi was a lovely host and he was so kind to wait for our very late arrival past midnight. Highly recommended!

A wonderful gem of a place. Luigi was a warm and charming host, nothing ( including a providing a gluten free breakfast) was too much trouble. Our only regret was not having long to stay in this lovely place. The swimming pool was an added bonus.

To do this place and review justice, you need context; it was the 4th residence that we stayed at on a self built tour. It had the best welcome from the owner Luigi; he could not do enough, he made us drinks on arrival, a first of our trip, and very welcome. He speaks enough English to be comfortable in his presence. The room was romantically decorated and appointed to a very high standard. Little touches such as free water in the fridge were all around. Cleaned daily and towels refreshed. There is a drying area for wet swimming gear. The pool is perfect for a cool off in the middle of the day, clean, as was the surrounding patio area. Fantastic choice of seating and loungers. (There is no charge for anything pool related; unlike other properties that we visited) We had both kinds of evening during our stay; first night we had bread, olives, fish, cheese and meats with local wine, bought at the local supermarket in Monopoli (Lidl). There is a well lit covered patio next to the pool. Cards, food and wine! Luigi happily provided us with plates and glasses. After a tour round Alberobello with lunch, the relaxing evening was perfect. Second day we went for lunch to the nearest restaurant perched on a hill at a road junction (ll Leccio). Price for two perfectly cooked escalopes and salad, with, I have to say, the best plate of home made chips! Water and soft drinks 35 euros included a good tip. The evening was spent at Luigi's recommended restaurant, La Nicchia. Just enough out of town and 7 minute drive away, ample parking. Small plate starters and no main, be strong, just order that, you won't need much more! A selection of deserts rounded off a splendid evening in terms of tasting wonderful local food. Local wine and water, beer and a good tip brought us to 50 euros, which, for a top restaurant and night out seemed very reasonable! Have a drink waiting in your fridge for the designated driver so they can end the night on the patio! Breakfast was lovely, fresh ricotta, bread and preserves with meat and cheese choices. Capped off with home made cakes! In summary, perfect host, perfect room, great local restaurants, oh and 28 degrees, did I mention the sunrise and sunset?!!

B&B Mirella was the perfect southern italy base. The room clean, comfortable and adequate in size.  Luigi was a great host, very attentive and made us feel more like friends than guests.  The breakfast was delicious, all homemade (especially the cake!). The pool adequate size for the number of guest, everything in the property clean and well maintained, with a homely feel. 7 minutes drive to Alberobello. Car essential. Recommended if you are looking for a local feel, with genuine hospitality.
