A fixed menu (decided and cooked day by day) is served, accompanied by a good red wine. The food is all home made and is really fresh and delicious. I am not a vegetarian at all but absolutely enjoyed it nonetheless. We spent 30 euros each (generous tip included) for two jugs of wine, an assortment of appetizers, two first courses, three second courses, dessert and a "digestivo". Thoroughly recommended, even for the setting deep in the countryside.
We did not stay at the B&B, but we did have an exceptional dinner there with friends. We are vegetarian, so we had high expectations for an all vegetarian Italian meal. We love Italian food, make it at home most nights, but this was special. Low key setting, no frills, excellent, fresh produce served with kindness. We loved our meal here. After eating pizza or pasta (or some less exciting grilled veggies) at other restaurants for a week, it was such a delight of the senses to enjoy the fresh, simple, wholesomeness of the produce straight from their farm. SO much food. Come hungry. Worth finding this place and enjoying a home cooked meal. Non-vegetarians will be happy and stuffed as well. I highly recommend this place!
Great athmosphere in the “trullishire”, but what makes this place incredible is the cuisine: very good vegetarian. Excellent relation quality-price, big portions (finally, we are so tired of this micro portions of the so call nouvelle cuisine!). In reality it so good that even a meat eater would like it. Part of the eating experience is the great personality of Mrs Concettina, the waitress, a kind of institution of the place, without her the dining would taste different. About the rooms: I have been many years ago in a double room that shares the bathroom with another (so it could work out ok if you are travelling with another couple). The beds are small and not too comfortable (but they could have been improved in the past years, ask the owner) and this rooms are noisy because close to the restaurant. But I looked inside the other rooms in the “trulli” : they all have their own bathroom and they are far enough from the restaurant to be less noisy.…
we only stayed one night. Unfortunately we did not feel very much welcomed by the owner. Everything was very business-oriented, not an unnecessary word or smile wasted. Dinner was interesting, only vegetable. we had a great sleep in a Trulli-House. Breakfast was not a big suprise, but the latte the mandorla was nice.
