Spent a relaxing week here, in a semi-rural location about 3km from Cisternino. Our trullo, Alba, was perfect for us, very spacious for a one bedroom, and well equipped. Luisa was a lovely host. It has obviously been a difficult season for them and it looked like only four of the five units were being let. She was very apologetic for not being able to provide breakfast, but did, on several occasions, bring us plates of her home-baked assorted cakes to make up for it, which were a delight. The pool area was kept immaculate and, obviously with Covid in mind, each of the four let units had their own dedicated sets of sunbeds for the duration of their stay, well socially distanced. Plenty of good restaurants in Cisternino and easy access to the many interesting surrounding towns such as Ostuni, Alberobello, Martina Franca etc. The historic town of Matera, although c60km away, is also well worth a visit.…
We stayed 2 weeks in Angeleto. Very comfortable, well equipped accommodation enjoying the slight breeze on our terrace. Pool area wonderful but a special mention for the home baking at breakfast a daily pleasure. Hosts couldn't do enough for us. Thank you for a wonderful holiday and we will be back 😎😎😎
This is a beautifully restored trulli with comfortable spacious rooms that include kitchen, dining area and clean ample bathrooms. Luisa is a gracious host who offers a lavish breakfast and the grounds of the estate are well manicured while overlooking the entire valley. We stayed 4 nights while visiting family that lives in the area. It was a convenient location to travel to local sites such as Alberobello, Castellana Grotto and the Puglia region.
We took a last minute reservation few hours before arriving to Cisternino and were very nicely welcomed by Louisa. The place is charming and the trullo decorated with great taste. You will feel the authentic experience of a true Puglia Masseria! Fresh homemade products directly from the amazing garden will await you for breakfast. Special award for Louisa's kindness and disponibility! Gabriel and Adeline
As part of a two week trip through southern Italy, my family spent four nights at Masseria Montanaro. After much research, we chose this masseria as a base for exploring Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ostuni, and Alberobello. We could not have been happier with our decision. It was the perfect location as we could enjoy mornings lounging by the beautiful pool surrounded by jasmine in the quiet of the countryside with ample time to visit the nearby towns for afternoon strolls and dinners. The accommodations were just perfect. Louisa and Guiseppe were wonderful hosts. Our trullo apartment was spacious and inviting. The weather during our stay could not have been better – mid 70s with no humidity. Maintaining a comfortable temperature in the trullo was easy with many doors and shutters to either let the sun in or shut it out as desired. The Savrano apartment was spacious and welcoming. Sleeping was so peaceful in the quiet and dark of our trullo bedroom. In the morning the sun created a warm glow through a little stained glass window in the stone cone above our bed. Breakfast was always a special treat. Louisa set out fresh, local cheeses and meats, her own fruit from the masseria and always a delicious homemade cake, pie, or pastries. We could not have asked for more with our choice of espresso or cappuccino. This was our first time in Puglia but we are already planning our return trip to this little slice of heaven!…
