We stayed 2 nigths in a Trullo at Riposo del Vento and the experience itself was great. The b&b is set in a peaceful location away from the busy roads surranded by hundreds of olive trees. They have a small swimming pool for guests to enjoy too. Not much to do for kids unfortunately apart from a not well maintained slide and swing .The hosts were nice and friendly and made us soon feel welcomed but on the negative side the service we received was poor .They should definitely improve the breakfast as we were only given a small plate with a few biscuits in it for the whole stay. Location is good as it is 10 min drive to Ostuni where all restaurants and shops are.
Really nice property with trulli style rooms. The room was clean and had even a kitchenette which was well equipped. Breakfast was great: lot of variety and great tramezzini! The location is perfect to explore the Valle d'Itria (Ostuni, Locorotondo, Alberobello) and close to the airports of Brindisi and Bari. Make sure to NOT follow the GPS, but the instructions given by the host (Francesca) prior your arrival on how to reach the place. We regret, that we stayed only one night.
We really enjoyed our time here. The property is beautiful and peaceful with comfortable outside spaces, and the old buildings have been nicely restored. Our room was comfortable and well equipped for our 4 day stay. It had a small kitchen that'd be suitable for preparing simple meals though we didn't end up using it. The breakfast offerings are generous with lots of variety. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Just returned from a week's stay at The Riposo Del Vento. The owners, Francesca & Juan are very welcoming and willing to help with places to eat, visit and also arranged a brilliant massage for me at the side of our room. The Trulli buildings are beautiful and Juan has worked hard on the buildings to ensure they keep a rustic, traditional look while keeping comfort. The Trulli's are set in a very natural, beautiful, quiet country surroundings. It was amazing to eat breakfast and watch the horses in the adjoining field. The breakfasts have choices of cereals, fresh fruit, bread rolls, cheeses, hams and a huge selection of homemade savoury and sweet pastries, along with homemade jams. The coffee was just perfect. The Riposo Del Vento is ideally situated for areas/towns/coastal areas to visit. We hired a car for the week and enjoyed the drives to various places. The area is still typical a Italian and not very touristy. The local village, within walking distance, has typical Italian restaurants and an Italian family run supermarket where you can buy anything. The staff at the Locanda restaurant where extremely helpful and welcoming serving delicious food. We also used various restaurants in nearby Cisternino and other towns. The restaurants open at 7.30pm in the evening as the temperatures are cooling by then. Most shops & bakeries shut by 1pm because of the high temperatures during the day then re-open around 5.30pm. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool at the Riposo Del Vento in the afternoons. Francesca, Juan, children and grandparents give this place a family environment feel. We would certainly recommend a stay here.…
Lovely place to stay, very peaceful and great if you want to be left alone. Don't come here if you expect service however hosts were always around at breakfast if you needed anything and were very helpful. Studios were traditional and clean. Good traditional Italian breakfast. Location wise this is the perfect place as its close to the beach and many wonderful towns. It is also walking distance (7mins) to Casalini where there are some super restaurants - La Piazzetta and Locanda del Ristoro are definitely worth a visit. For us this was a big plus as we wanted to enjoy the wine and not drive every evening!!
