Dropped in for lunch. Thought it would be a good spot given its location near to the chair lift. It was 13.30 so should be peak lunch time. One other table was occupied, this should have been a warning sign. Tracked someone down to serve us. Was told restaurant closed even though the sign outside said it was open until 14.30 but offered us sandwiches which was fine. The man serving us who was also running the hotel reception and lady who came to help were the most depressing and uninterested people I have ever had serve me in a bar, restaurant or hotel. Quite simply it felt like we were inconveniencing them and they would rather we had gone elsewhere.. they can rest assured we will and as a result I will not be using their restaurant or their hotel in the future either. Located with a terrace next to the river this hotel is perfectly settled in the village. If you’re on a mountain bike tour they even have a washing station for your bike, which is free to use when staying at the hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, and the staff is most helpful. Bike room in the basement for safe storage, and anything a mountain biker could wish for. Restaurant serves very good food too. All in all the best recommendation.
