The hotel is AMAZING!!! So close to Pefkias Forest and to the beach!!!! Our room was fantastic and every day was cleaned!!!!!! Breakfast was rich and delicious!!!! I want to focus on the staff!!!! Vasiliki is a perfect professional, so kind, polite, generous, ready to help us in everything we need before we ask. People make businesses and not the opposite!!!!! They are so lucky to have Vasiliki and Efi. We will go back for sure!!!!!

10th of September 2021. Group of 2 lady friends (room 109). The hotel is close to the city center, so it is convenient to walk over there. In addittion to that, it is really close to Pefkias forest where you can take a walk. Also there is a small pebble-stoned beach few meters away. The central door closes for the night so you are feeling very safe. The hotel was pretty and the patio where the breakfast was served was nice and cool under the trees. In general, the hotel was clean and the personnel were really polite. They helped us in what we asked for (info about the area), but they have a serious-serious communication problem between them. We asked 2 single beds, but noone informed the maid, so she made the beds as one with one sheet (so they brought her again when we arrived to bring more sheets). We said that we do not want cleaning of the room the 2nd day (according to new regulations of covid-19 for the hotels), but noone informed her. They said to us to tell that to the next employee, but we didn't have time since she entered while we were eating breakfast. (She carelessly was touching the clean sheets with the filthy vacuum cleaner the whole time she was cleaning.) For the above reasons, I do not think that 70euros+tax per night is value for money. But, they tried to stick to the procedures of covid-19, so they gave as disposable gloves for filling in the breakfast. And they devide the rooms to groups, in order to avoid crowding. The room also needs: a clothesline at the balcony to hang our bathing suit after swimming and a full body mirror behind the door. And to improve the communication among them. Bonus: The bathroom was spacious and the mattress was fine. The pillows were really soft and fluffy. Bonus: It has free parking lot. Notice: The check out is at 11:00.

A really nice and clean hotel at the edge of the woods. Comfortable beds, quite room and baby friendly. Good breakfast and helpful staff. At the edge of town for afternoon walks and close to bars and restaurants. Great towels by the way and good wifi.

A friendly and accommodating welcome awaited us at Gardens Gallery. It’s a modestly priced place but manages to do a really good job of the basics in tastefully renovated rooms. Big enough, a good shower, spotlessly clean. Treat breakfast as a bonus; it’s not great but at this price, it would be churlish to complain. If you are in the area, it’s a really solid choice.

We actually considered if we should write this because we wanted to keep this pearl to ourselves! We left this morning after 7 nights - and we could have stayed forever. It was a great experience. From the time we made the booking and until we left this morning we have met only great service and interest from Vassiliki, Olga and the rest of the staff. They are amazing! The rooms, bathrooms, all details were perfect. SO great value.... be sure to choose this warm and welcoming hotel, if you visit wonderful Xylokastro!

The hotel was perfect. Clean comfort rooms, quiet place and next to the beach. When we arrived they gave us a bigger room so we can be more comfortable (no charge of course). The breakfast was really good and with a lot of options. Also the owner was really kind and good person.

The location for us is perfect, not far from Athens, nearby the forest and 20 metres from the sea. This hotel is managed by a very friendly team. The cocomat-mattress is perfect for ideal sleeping conditions. There is not a single downside. A fine place to come back to.

In Greek seaside hotels, the rooms and beds are frequently TINY. Since my husband is six feet tall, we typically get a triple room. Gardens Gallery's website said their triple had a double and a sofa bed. So we reserved a triple for a five night stay. The "sofa bed" turned out to be a trundle bed which couldn't be opened because it was in a narrow alcove. Since the unopened trundle bed was only suitable for a child, we moved to a twin room (two tiny twins pushed together) and didn't sleep a wink. (Later, a native of Xylocastro who was familiar with the beds in the hotel told us they were like "coffins.") The next day, the the staff offered us a "family" room, which had a double and a trundle bed in a larger alcove so the bed could be opened. Unfortunately, that room wasn't available for our full stay; we would have had to move back to the twin room on our last night. So we cancelled the reservation and went to the hotel next door. Gardens Gallery charged us the cancellation fee. We didn't argue about it, but I thought, given the misrepresentation on the website about triple's "sofa bed," it would have been gracious of the owner, Mrs. Olga, to waive the fee. On the good side, the staff--Vasiliki and Spiros--were WONDERFUL. The decor was attractive and the outdoor breakfast space by the pine gardens was lovely. (The one breakfast we had, though, featured margarine (no butter) and very stale breads, spanakopita, etc.)

Great location, only 10 meters away from the seaside and 3 minutes away from the biggest forest of xylokastro city. Brand new boutique hotel, sparkling clean, cosy atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. Cocomat matresses and everything you might need is inside your room. We would appreciate if we could have more space in the rooms, not recommended for very tall guests. But, we understand since the building plan could not change into bigger. We appreciate a lot that 3 years ago everything was completely renovated with the best material and it looks fantastic. The breakfast and lobby area are surrounded by a very beautiful garden. You can relax, enjoy your tasty (with fresh home made ingredience) breakfast or snacks and still be protected by the sun and the heat. The manager is very thoughtful and provides free of charge bicycles for all ages. We were very excited with this service, since we had many rides along the sea side and inside the big forest with huge trees. We totally prefer a small hotel diamond, which is new and sparcling clean, compare to a huge neglected hotel, pretending that nothing is wrong.. kind tip for the manager: relaxing music would be an asset at all times, especially breakfast. At the balconies we would apreciate a hanger for our swimming suits and bath towels. Enjoy!
