Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our third Ikos stay, having previously stayed at the Oceania (twice) and Aria. We really enjoyed our stay at the Olivia. However, for Ikos hotels, you pay a premium. In the past we felt this was worth it, for the service and facilities. However, we felt that the Olivia was slightly lacking the feel we had from previous visits. Whether this was timing, or whether it is indicative of the Ikos brand getting too big to lose sight of the little details, we don't know. It hasn't put us off Ikos, but it was enough to make us want to try other places - as ultimately without the premium feel, there is no point paying a premium price. The pool setup is very good and the pool service was regular and efficient. We felt it lacked a little of the warmth we had encountered before. Eleftheria was excellent however. The Ouzo restaurant was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner - the manager there did a great job. We had mixed experiences with the buffet. The food was good, however is was often extremely rushed and busy. One night there we waited for 15 for seats, then had a hastily assembled table near a walkway, and struggled to get any drinks at all. For the premium brand, it was disappointing. However, the buffet has a lovely location on the beach - and the beach bar next door was a lovely place to take in the view. The hotel room was spacious but underwhelming. This is probably because of our stays at Oceania and Aria, where the rooms had a real wow factor. Some real positives: The Tesla and the car team were very good. The watersports team were outstanding. Overall, a very good hotel - and many fantastic staff - but the first Ikos stay we've had where we've come away wondering if it was worth the premium price.

Hotel's Favourite
The best holiday we've ever had. We've been to all inclusive resorts before but they don't come close to this. It is very family friendly but also very civilised and calm - no fighting over sunloungers etc! Stunning food and service. Only improvements would be: - We enjoyed using the adult only pool when our son was enjoying the kid's club. The adult only pool could be more clearly sign posted as lots of kids came into it not realising. They were moved on promptly by staff but it happened a lot. It also had lots of teens/young adults playing ball games - was hoping for a relaxing length swim. - We came for a special anniversary and were told by other couples it was a great place to go as they make a fuss and celebrate. It would have been nice for our anniversary to have been acknowledged in some way - others were around us.

Fifth time going and still as fantastic as when they first opened. They definitely know how to give good service. Only down side, and this is not the fault of the hotel, but the sea water is not blue or nice for swimming. Everything is just top notch. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Olivia.

My recent stay at Hotel Ikos Olivia in Chalkidiki was simply amazing. The beachfront location provided stunning views, while the spacious and elegantly decorated room ensured a comfortable stay. The dining experience was exceptional, with a variety of restaurants offering delicious cuisine. The resort's leisure facilities, including pools and spa, catered to every preference. Overall, the combination of luxury, exquisite dining, and impeccable service made for a memorable getaway. Highly recommend for a five-star experience. Can't wait to return! 😍☀️🌊

The standard is high with IKOS, but you do pay for it. We went to Dassia the year before for a similar price package and the difference between the 2 resorts was very significant. A lot busier feel to it in Halkidiki and the service not quite as sharp. Felt bit of a 2nd class citizen with their premium guests who had a large area of the resort/beach to themselves. Their area was virtually empty and left the other people crowded around the family pool looking for a lounger. They allow you to eat out but none of the restaurants locally grabbed us as places to visit. Some football coaching is available for children but they charge 20 euros per session which is a bit of a liberty for an all inclusive resort.

This is a long overdue review of our fantastic week at Ikos Olivia in May 2023. If you have been to this hotel before then be reassured that the same high standards are being upheld across the board. If you are thinking about Ikos Olivia as an option for an upcoming trip then look no further, you will love it. You can see from the website that the hotel and grounds are beautiful but what you need to experience for yourself is the hotel, full of guests yet still serene and the biggest asset of all, the friendly and accommodating staff. At the very top of the chart for us were the awesome Deluxe concierge team of Stephanie and Nikos who couldn’t do enough to help us at any time of day and who always greeted us with so much warmth and so much kindness. They knew our daughter’s name immediately and always made her feel special as well. They work so hard dealing with everyone’s requests all day long but still deliver a serene service, it’s really impressive. George the F&B manager was also so hard working, always helped by his staff alongside greeting guests and making them feel special across all of the restaurants. This was our second visit to Ikos Olivia and it won’t be our last as we booked another week within a fortnight of checking out. See you in May again Ikos Olivia :)

Such a lovely place for a family trip. The quality of food was amazing - the best that we've had in an all inclusive. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do more to help us especially with 2 young children. The chef made pesto pasta for my 3yr old and they were always happy to help with pureed food for the baby. The beach was beautiful and clean. It was lovely to have beach and pool side service which was so attentive. The kids splash pool was perfect for a toddler and was really safe. A few areas for improvement - The kids disco is only on twice a week which is surprising for such a family friendly place. My child is quite shy and on previous holidays has gotten used to the disco over the period of a week and enjoyed it more as the days go on but he didn't really get that opportunity at Ikos esp as we missed the first night as it was our first night there and we were unaware! There's no indoor kids area to play which was a shame as we had an entire day of monsoon style rain and we couldn't use any of the kids club facilities. Lastly, I'm lactose intolerant and there was an issue with oat milk cappuccinos / flat whites not being quite right! We'll definitely go back but hope some of these issues may be addressed! :)

I can only echo the reviews that many people have left about Ikos Olivia; it is a fabulous hotel. We choose Olivia because of a recommendation from a friend, who had said that it was one of the best hotels he had stopped in; when he said this we did not believe him and thought we would try it for ourselves. Well it did not disappoint; from the moment we stepped into the hotel to the moment of departure it was fantastic. If you are thinking of booking - don't think, just do it!

This was a truly wonderful and relaxing break with my friends. After hearing and reading such great reviews we decided to give it a try! Best decision ever! We loved it! Staff was great. We will come back for sure. Every staff member was doing the extra mile for us, always there to assist us with a smile. The service was the best we have ever experienced. We absolutely loved it.
