This hotel was the perfect find for us, and offered excellent value for money. The rooms while dated were clean and functional and what we expected for the price we paid. We had a sea veiw room and what a veiw it was waking up to the sun rising over the mountains every morning was beautiful. The pool area is fantastic with comfortable sun beds which is one of the most important things for me when choosing a hotel. The pool bar has everything you need and they serve you right to your sunbed you don’t need to move except for a swim in the refreshing pool. It’s located right on the beach and is close to the bars and restaurants. If your here make sure you go to the Loft cocktail bar overlooking the harbour. There are nice walks to do straight out of the hotel and the ferry across to Argostoli is a 10 min walk away. To summarise if you want a charming and quaint hotel with friendly staff, a comfy poolside, central location and fantastic value for money you can not go wrong with this hotel. We loved thank you to all the staff that made our stay so wonderful.

Lovely staff, reasonable rooms. Great pool experience, right on the beach. Good venue for a peaceful holiday. Nicely located a short walk from the resort centre. Small but nice menu available. Good value for money, worth a visit for sure. .

We have stayed here a week and it was just perfect. We hadn't had a holiday for 2 years and I think this was a great choice. The staff go over and above, Dionysis always had time to ask how we were doing, Dina at the pool and the lovely reception ladies, bar staff, housekeeping. Too many to mention but always friendly and welcoming. We had a sea view which was beautiful, felt very safe and there is sanitizer on hand, everywhere felt very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, 2 or 3 minutes walk to the harbour, ferry, town square, tavernas and shops. But just at the hotel the gardens, clean pool and beach, it is so pretty and very relaxing. The snack bar and bar offer very good choices and continental breakfasts are good with a long time window. There is a lot of choice and selection. The breakfast staff do a great job as with covid restrictions they serve the buffet choices and work non stop. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel and would definitely return. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

It's one of the most difficult hotels for me to review as I am a 5 star luxury traveller. This hotel is a 3 star which I don't normally choose. We arrived quite late at night and was greeted by a lady on reception who offered us an orange juice which was nice. Whilst filling in the paperwork there was a power cut so we had to cart our cases up the 4 flights of stairs... that was hard work but that was due to the power cut. This happened a couple of times whilst we were staying at the hotel but was resolved quickly. Once we entered the room we were disappointed to see one single door as when you pay much more for a sea view you expect to see it. The room felt very enclosed and there was 2 single beds next to each other. The furniture was old and dated and the shower door was broken. The fridge made a very loud noise all night. The shower head was also so old not much water came out of it. The mirrors had paint on them as if they had tried to update stuff on the cheap and the one mirror in the bathroom was rusty. The aircon system was old and dated to. The only positive I can say about this room was the view whilst on the balcony as that was just amazing. But I contacted jet2 and they said the rep will meet me in the morning and I can look at other rooms or move resort if need be. I ended up moving down to floor 2 in room 217. This room was totally different. New aircon system... New fridge... proper shower head/proper shower door and a double door to see the sea view. The room was just set out differently which made the room feel bigger to. We stayed in this room the whole 12 days of our stay. I guess if your not a luxury traveller you'd be OK with any room. Breakfast was very basic to us just egg and hot dog sausages daily. There was bread and spreads... I found the cereal abit bland and the milk wasn't cold. It seemed very repetitive to us. We still ate it most days but we wernt bothered about missing a few. Again maybe I've been spoilt. The pool area was nice maybe abit run down but I think greece have different standards in general. There arnt many luxury hotels on the islands of Greece. The hotel is right on the beach which again was great you can go snorkeling on the beach! The location of the hotel was absolutly perfect! The bar area was very quiet maybe due to covid but there was never any music on even background music so we went to the port every night for abit of atmosphere. We found it hard to order at the pool bar a few times as a few of the ladies couldn't understand us so we had to wait for someone else to come which was fine but sometimes we wanted to go for a swim or a walk but found ourselves looking out for the one lady who could understand us. But you wernt allowed your own things round the pool area so had to wait for someone to serve you. Overall we had a really good holiday and I'm sad to write a half negative review as this hotel could be amazing with a few upgrades and sprucing round the pool etc. The rooms on the 4th floor were in definite need of a whole new refurbishment. I would choose a different floor not the 4th. We did lots of tours so we're out the hotel alot. But I do like to come back to my room at night and have abit of luxury but thats just me I'm a 5 star traveller. I highly reccomend the Queen Bee boat trip whilst in kefalonia this was the best boat trip ever! Thankyou to the Summery for having us and I'm sorry to be that pain in the bum luxury traveller that I am :-)

We stayed at Hotel Summery for 5 nights over my birthday . Its in a great location, fab pool and pool bar . Great service from the breakfast staff , bar staff , pool side waitress , reception staff . But a Hotel that felt homely . Amazingly comfortable bed . But to add to this the events manager went above and beyond at a very surprises my husband had for my birthday. He personally served us breakfast that morning and produced my favourite smoked salmon with poached eggs , not on the menu ... He had fantastic English and treated us with the utmost respect.. would highly recommend for a special occasion. His words " tell me what you want and I will do my best " he sure did .. we spent 4 weeks traveling greece and Hotel Summer stood out as great .. thank you for having us Karen and colin
