Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

No wifi in room so advised to work in bar by receptionist to obtain wifi signal. I needed privacy so that wasn’t an option. Road noise penetrated the building and in particular our room from 6am. Smell of cigarettes on curtains. The breakfast room was full of uncleared tables - looked really messy. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the shower nice and powerful and the hotel carpets were very nice. Overall we weren’t impressed by the Mercure brand offering I have to say.

This hotel is the perfect location for those wanting to visit the St Emilion-Pomerol wine regions but trying to stay away from the crazy expensive hotels in those two towns or the huge masses of tourists. Libourne is a quiet town with a lovely Sunday market which is only about a five minute walk away from the hotel which stands on the waterfront. The staff was super lovely at the check-in while also manning the bar. If not wanting to venture out to any of the nearby restaurants, the hotel bar has a good snack menu with a very tasty duck rillette.

What a find, this was our fourth and last night of our 'sisters' trip' and no doubt the best hotel we stayed in, and the cheapest! Would have no hesitation in recommending it. Breakfast was excellent as well.

Loved the location and walk ability of the town. Rooms were comfortable and view was nice. Easy to drive to wineries and coffee in the room was a nice addition. We loved walking the waterfront and to town. Secure parking was a plus. Wifi should be secure.

A lovely modern hotel, spacious room with good facilities. Room quiet and comfortable. The location was very central and on the river. Plenty of Parking at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent with a huge variety. All though there is not a restaurant on site there is an excellent bistro opposite, on the river bank, , make a reservation, it’s very popular. There are also other restaurants in walking distance. Would definitely stay again, good for visiting st Emillion and the wine country.

A good hotel on the river front and near old town area. What one might expect from a Mercure. Breakfast buffet very good. Room on the smallish side. Modernish decor. Parking garage on site but no dinner restaurant.

I stayed here on work purposes and really disappointed with the place and in particular the staff. On arrival I asked for a late checkout and despite my company having paid until 6pm - I asked if they could do until 7pm.... I was repeatedly being referred to different people and sometimes saying no and sometimes saying they will check - no one bothers to get back to you. And in the end I still had no clue if it was agreed or not until i was repeatedly harassed by the receptionists morgane who could barely speak a word of English and Juliette who wouldn’t let me speak to a manager or attempt to contact one when I asked. The breakfast was bare minimal - literally nothing. In fact I had to ask them to restock the croissants, pain au Chocolate, hot water etc - it’s not there were many people at breakfast - Maybe 5-6people but they couldn’t even get on top of that..... Not sure how it’s a 4star hotel - especially without a gym and swimming pool and also a reception. Rooms are cramped and claustrophobic. Overall poor.

I was traveling with my son and we had a disastrous stay else were the night before, so this was an extremely welcome relief for only a few euros more!! A modern hotel, right on the river with a very comfortable and clean room. Good on site parking and easy walking distance to lovely restaurants. Reasonably priced and we would certainly stay here again.

Nice small hotel, staff pleasant enough but housekeeping not great. Broken light for 3 days and not fixed, pillows left with no case . Car park was useful but first night told it was full when it was not. Comfy beds, clean bathrooms, nice view
