I just stayed two days, my bedroom rather clean and the staff very friendly. I recommend to any one passing through, very green. Libourne is a beautiful town to visit and a shame i could not stay longer
We stayed here whilst riding from Caen to Zaragoza. Easy to find, car park is fenced and gated at night and bike parking is outside reception. Really comfortable bed, plenty of space in the room. Close to buffalo grill for meals. Really nice breakfast. Comfortable affordable, will definitely use this brand again.
Ibis budget as expected. Simple but clean accomodation. Efficient staff and good prices. Private parking. Close some famous wine villages and not far from the city of Bordeaux. Steakhouse and leClerc supermarket opposite.
We stayed and also paid for the breakfast. Possibly a mistake, the room was ok, the usual small shower, lots of hot water, and clean towels / bedding. Free parking, which was a bonus. The breakfast was a scrum, and chaos. No plates for pastries, only bowls!! It was all very peasant like....... Coffee was ok, but too small an area for the number of people trying to access it. We had put our freezer blocks in to chill the night before, with no issue. Now we are stopped from accessing them, yet 3 friends of the staff member walked in from the street, and went behind the breakfast servery counter, helped themselves to breads / drinks etc, handled bread, and threw back the bits they didn't want......all to the amusement of the staff member on duty, whose double standards were just an embarrassment. Whilst she went outside with her mates, to drink coffee,we took our chilled blocks and left. The day before when we arrived it was the same staff member on duty, who we asked for local information, she couldn't / didn't provide anything!!…
We chose this hotel while travelling to the Mediterranean coast as a convenient place to stop for a night. Room was bigger than most other Ibis budget hotels we’ve used. Across the road was a lake with a cafe/restaurant and also nearby was a “Buffalo Grill”. We chose the lake for some food and it was a lovely location to sit and relax and after a days travel followed by a walk by the lake before retiring for the night and awoke feeling refreshed for another day of travelling.
The breakfast area is too small. They should build an extension or remove the downstairs bedrooms behind it to make it bigger and easier to get to the breakfast. The staff are vey pleasant. The bedrooms are ok and clean.
Room is very basic which is fine for me. However it was freezing cold in there and only with the aircon on full heating it got better. But the roomservice kept turning it off. Breakfast is the bare minimum.
This is a budget IBIS hotel. The rooms are exactly the same as every budget Ibis hotel I have stayed in. The double bed has a bunk bed over the top. The sink is in the room. Their is a separate shower cubicle. The toilet is very small. However we were checked in efficiently. The breakfast was an adequate continental style buffet. Initially the location seems a bit disappointing being at the end of a commercial area. However if you walk across the car park there is a large lake with a sandy Beach next to it. It had a café, and a children's inflatable area. I would not recommend you stay here for the week, but as a one night stay perfectly acceptable. The room was a comfortable temperature and quiet to enable a very good night's sleep.
During July my wife and I stayed at no less than 10 different Ibis establishments in France, Germany and Switzerland. This one rated the worst! Whilst I appreciate that this was one of the group's cheaper, Budget range, nevertheless, I did NOT expect to be checked in by the cleaner. She appeared, initially, to have trouble finding our booking even though I had confirmed it using the company's online check-in facility a couple of days earlier. The room comprised of a reasonably comfortable king size double-bed with a bunk bed above, but the separate toilet was small, tight and very claustrophobic. The bathroom was unimpressive and the towel quality was appalling. I doubt if guests would mind paying a few Euros more for a room if the amenities were of better quality. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there is a Buffalo Grill opposite that does provide very reasonable food including steaks and salads throughout the day and evening.Being able to eat there at night made up for the very poor breakfast provided at the hotel next morning that offered poor value for money. Although, judging from other reviews, this Ibis clearly satisfies many people, particularly those that are young. But, as senior citizens, this was not for us and in truth we had expected better. The location is 100 yards or so to a lake that apparently is used as a training facility for the Olympic Games. There is also a bar/cafe there although we didn't use it. I was completely unimpressed with the staff that were on duty during our visit. In order to have something to drink, we had bought a bottle of wine with us, but when we asked a member of staff for some glasses, all that could be found were a couple of non-matching items from a cupboard behind the breakfast bar. While we sat outside on the tables and seating provided, the same member of staff locked the entrance door while we and several other guests were clearly seated outside. This meant we had to use a code to access the hotel despite being in full view of the woman staff member. At breakfast, there were initially no croissants and we had to ask for these; similarly, there were no cold meats and little choice of anything else. This is not a hotel that I would be able to recommend to others and we felt it was akin to a youth hostel than a hotel.…
Location is great and staff super friendly and helpful. Great prices and we get their business model so no surprises. Very new hotel!!! Secure safe and a great low cost . Very clean. Plenty of parking.
