Overpriced food and very slow kitchen, even fries were bad and took 50 minutes to prepare. Absolutely No recommended to eat here. Hotel is nice and area is wonderful. I would not recommend the restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel for Juhannus evening. There was a music event (2 bands) and relatively simple grilled food. Juhanni's fire was announced but did not take place. Why not was not clear. It was repeatedly pointed out in advance, if the fire department allows it. Lt. Fire perceptions website there should be no problem with drought. Possibly there was too much wind, but we didn't see a pile of wood anywhere.
Staff quite unfriendly, up to brazen. Some people should really consider whether service is the right area for them.

We ate late lunch in Gustavelund’s terrace. I ordered Margerita pizza, and it should have cherry tomatoes and basilica. Well, there was two cherry tomatoes and 5 little basilica leaves. Nobody came to check if everything was allright. So I could not complain at all. World I recommend? No.

Room was ok (with extra 40€ a/c). Dinner was beyound nightmare; you can get more delicious Saarioinen microwave pizza with 1,5€ than this 15€ rediculous one. ”Makkaraperunat” was a joke as well. Don’t eat at the restaurant. Also a staff was unqualified

Had two overnights. I was perhaps a bit disappointed about the food the first day. But the day is completely different. Excellent food and quality. They need more staff in restaurant for serving because you have to wait a lot for them to come when you need them.

All things considered, this is certainly the most awful hotel I stayed at in the last couple of years. The bathrooms have probably not been renovated since the inauguration of the hotel (seventies?), and the dining room has more of a university canteen than of the dining room of a hotel. But the service beats it all. The restaurant closes at 6pm (if it opens at all after lunch) and the only option which is then left is a kind of Burger 1 1/2 to 2km from the hotel. On the second day of our stay, they cut the water at 8am (until 12am) without any prior notice, and on the third day, we were waken up by the drilling machines of the workers renovating the rooms opposite to ours. The personnel at the reception was not particularly friendly either: when one of us did not check out by 12:00 sharp, the receptionist came to his lunch table to tell him that he is already 30 minutes late with his check out and should hurry up (and this with the probability 0 that his room had to be cleaned for an arriving guest).

I just stayed 2 nights in this hotel for a seminar. My room was OK as such, but the air was stuffy when I got into the room. I had the window open all the time, but coiuld feel the stuffy air every time I came to the room. The hotel is old. Of course the weather was exceptionally warm outside this weekend 30 degrees Celcius! Breakfast and buffet lunch were tasty on both days. I like the location of the hotel. My room had no air conditioning, but the lecture room had which was really needed this weekend.

The hotel is built for small congresses. There are several meeting rooms in different sizes. Likewise many other visitors wrote the furnitures, bathrooms etc. are not very modern and the rooms are quite small but the place is clean and quiet. Very nice surroundings for promenades.

It was for a business meeting. As most reviewers said not a very modern hotel in its furniture, bathroom, etc. Regular rooms quite small. Executive rooms larger. Scene was very very beautiful.. Near the airport. Bike rental to go aroundthe lake was very helpful. 15 minute walk to the bus station to connect to Helsinki. Also don't miss the church boat rowing experience. Personnel very helpful and friendly as most Finnish people are. Not much happening in town.

I stayed in Gustavelund for one night together with my wife. The hotel was fully booked and unfortunately the superior room I had booked had been oversold and there were none left when we arrived. The hotel took care of this beautifully offering their sincere apologies (the most important thing) and a bottle of sparkling and a fruit plate free of charge to the twin room they had available for us.
The twin room was simple but clean and ok in size. It had been renovated within the past couple of years and was in very good condition although the hotel itself is already old in age.
The hotel nightclub is rather poor, so unless you have your own posse going with you don't count on that as the crown of your night. The club does not have decent sound system which is a huge minus if you like to dance. For chatting and drinking the club offers moderate facilities, but I'd choose a local pub for a more positive atmosphere.
Breakfast was ok and in line with what you would expect from a Finnish hotel at this price.
All in all, after paying 80 euros for twin room and getting the extras, I have to say there's not much to complain for the price!
