The room and the beds were unacceptable for any hotel standard in any place in the world. There was some kind of mattress on a frame that kept slipping off and falling to the floor. I would not classify this "furniture as a bed. When we asked if we can get another room, the answer was negative and we did not get any response for our discomfort. The room was exceptionally small and looked to a wall on another building. The spa was good, we experienced better ones in Estonia. The restaurant was excellent, the serving staff fantastic, we loved it.
The room we had was awful. Small, old and in desperate need of refurbishment. The bed was, well, I'm not even sure if they should allow guests to sleep in it. Especially guests with back issues who need a hard mattress. The mattress we had was uncomfortably soft. We didn't sleep much. We had high expectations of restaurant Wicca as it appears to be renowned but the restaurant at Hestia Hotel Haapsalu was much much better. The spa was nice. And the surroundings lovely. But that's not enough to suffer in that horrendously small room with the awful lightning.
Very nice SPA hotel with sea. Nice SPA, finish saunas, vapor bath and spa. Internal hot water swiming pools. Swiming pool in this SPA hotel is avalable in open air too. Sport compex, restorants are there. Place for open fire avilable in night time. Seaside is very close. No dislikes. Liked everything. Nice and kind staff.
I gave this place **** in 2017 and ** in 2018, when it had really gone to seed on all levels, and I said I would not come back if possible. Well, I had a corporate event here this late summer, and since I think the owners took over possession again, the place has been seriously upgraded - this is also what my colleagues say. It is now back to **** for sure, and I might even consider another *. Let me just say that the breakfast and a buffet lunch, as well as a catered lunchtime reception, were really good; dinner in Verde was okay and dinner in Wicca I wouldn't have to repeat. My room at least (if with no view at all) was very nicely renovated and not spartan; good beds and bedding for sure. I do think the spa itself is of really good quality; nice views and airy; not too full during normal times. It opens too late for a hotel spa (which this is too), but the facilities are really fine and the place is kept clean. The lap pool is great and perfectly temperatured; I like the small outside one as well. New highlight is a wooden-framed onsen at 42° which isn't a Japanese replica but still very nice. Estonia is a country that doesn't handle the pandemic very well, with quite absurd rules either way (on balance, too lax) and some resistance in the population, which many Finns - the biggest group at Laulasmaa - share. For that context, both the rules and how they were kept both by staff and guests were fine, so that one was safe without being cajoled.…
This location is great, very beautiful nature. Spa is small, but the selection of saunas are great. The breakfast and dinner are superb. The rooms are quite old, but there is everything you need. Definitely worth value for money.
