BOSKINACFamily traditionWinemaking in the family Boškinac began in the 1950s. Boškinac Winery was built in 2002. Area of 6.5 ha of vineyards planted in 2000, is a few hundred meters from the winery.Wanting to preserve the authenticity of the island' wines and to continue a long family tradition, the owner, Mr. Boris Šuljić preserved an indigenous white grape variety named Gegić. Gegić was a sort of grapes on verge of disappearing but by using scions from these old vineyards that still existed at the south of the island of Pag, owner Boris Šuljić grow the Gegic variety vineyard and saved it from extinction.Mr.Boris Suljic also planted two red varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and two white chardonnay and sauvignon blanc. Production of wine in the winery Boškinac is exclusively made from grapes produced in his own vineyard. The winery and tavern Boskinac can accommodate up to 70 people where more traditional meals and wine tasting are served.

My wife and I recently went here for our honeymoon, but the air conditioning in our room did not work, so it was hard to sleep. The temperature constantly hovered around 25 degrees C even when we set the temperature to 21 degrees. Also, when we checked in on our first night, there were only two minutes of hot water, so I was not able to shower. Hot water problems continued throughout our stay. We immediately told the receptionist, but she said they didn’t have time to look into it during the two nights we stayed there. We were quite surprised at these two problems and their unwillingness to handle the problems as we had spent a lot of money to stay there. The property is beautiful, so we really wanted to like the hotel, but it was hard to enjoy our stay. Not being able to sleep or shower is unacceptable at this price point.

Went first time to “konoba” part of the restaurant. Everything was awesome except the waiter. Literally had to ask multiple times for every single thing and the place wasn’t even crowded. It killed our mood. I guess u are either trash or a nice human being, hard to explain otherwise.

This hotel is chic and charming with great and sweet team. A beautiful garden with olive trees with different levels, nice pool area and service. Such a little cosy gem in the middle of the island. Stuff was super friendly and absolutely special. Signature cocktails at the pool are great. Sorry but a few cons: Breakfast - choice is pretty limited for such kind of places (although there was good selection of fruits, the egg menu is for extra fees. Lunches/dinners - its either Michelin 8 or 4 set menus (not impressed at all ) or konoba - the food was ok Pool area - unfortunately two big families with very noisy and spoiled kids arrived in our second day, and the pool was totally occupied by 5 kids non stop, like it was a private party. It was not a fault of the hotel of course, and they cant regulate it, but it was just a shame for us.

Boskinac hotel has huge potential but that's it. Arrived with great expectations to see this older competitor of some other boutique hotels like San Canzian and others. After staying I can say that next time I will go just for the Michelin restaurant and avoid the hotel. Here are my remarks: 1. Room isolation is not very well. You hear noise from other rooms. We were in room no.1 2. On reception the ladies were helpful and fine while the waiter in the tavern was very rude to us 3. No bootled water in the hotel? In 2021 very ridiculous 4. On check-out the receptionist didn't wear a face mask and he was coughing 5. Breakfest very very poor. Egg Benedict and similar usual breakfest meals which are standard for such hotel class have to be paid. You eat what they bring you to the table. Seems they expect you to be like in a student restaurant? 6. pool is very small and no spa at all These are just few remarks and again, the hotel is just average while the restaurant is amazing.

We were here for 3 days to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. The food and wines were certainly great as everyone has already mentioned but I wanted to make a special mention of how wonderful the staff were. Just everyone we came into contact with was so nice. I've stayed in hotels in places all over the world but this place will be remembered for having the best staff, people who care about what they do and care that you are having the best experience. Thank you so much, Boškinac
