It was a pleasure staying at this property,with excellent food and service. Also the Mantra cafe is very good and reasonably priced. Main beach is 2 min away from stay and Market is 5 min away from stay. Best place for backpackers

I visited Gokarna in November 2019 and stayed at Zostel. We booked a private cottage . It has ample amenities and space for 2 people. The room and toilet was clean. The property is well maintained. The staff is so friendly and co operative. The best part of the stay was Mantra Cafe which faces Gokarna beach. You can lazily sit for a whole day looking at the sea. The food offered by Mantra Cafe is also good. Overall a nice experience staying at Zostel.

I came in here with a couple of my friends and we met some other amazing folks at zostel itself and became really good friends. Also the zostel is at the center of the city so most of the beaches and market are at about 10 minutes from zostel.Mantra cafe at zostel has really amazing food when you don't want to try local cuisines. Also it's apt for people travelling solo. It's a perfect place where you may meet some like-minded folks and gel along. You can get beach view from the top if you're staying at zostel. Without a doubt this is the place I'd choose when I plan my upcoming trips.

Pros: A decent place to stay Ample parking Mantra cafe (a must visit and better than Namaste cafe) with amazing food, friendly host, good music with a view of Gokarna main beach Young crowd from all walks of life Haly (a super friendly lab) Cons: I took AC room which was ok but had lot of mosquitoes Remote location with no lighting during night (so gets pretty dark) Road leading to zostel is in bad condition If you had to visit any beach, taking out car is not recommended since roads leading to beach are either cramped up or under developed, rent a bike instead. Overall : 3/5 Bottom line: Have less expectations and you will not be disappointed
