With so many incredible destinations to visit, it is rare that we return to the same place twice; Majiki Lodge is the exception. From the time that we left, we started planning our return. Our experience was Africa as we hoped it would be, as far as seeing wildlife in a natural setting, guided by people who were pleasant and...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days over New Years this year, and we could not have been more pleased with everything during our stay. The owners of the lodge: Russell, Julie, and their two boys were some of the friendliest people you can ever hope to meet, and their hospitality made us feel at home right away....

From the earlier reviews we expected a family run lodge on a reserve. Approach is by a very long rough track with plants scraping the bottom of the car, through a herd of cattle which included some rather belligerent bullocks which could only be moved off the track by getting out of the vehicle. We finally arrived at a hunting...

This was our first visit to South Africa; we travelled along the Garden Route, we spend our last two nights at Majiki Lodge. We were a bit concerned as this is off the beaten track with a 2km drive along a dirt track to the lodge (a big adventure for us!) We were welcomed most warmly by Russell and Pieter. The...

This was my wife Cindy and my first trip to South Africa and we didn't know what to expect but when Russell met us at the Port Elizabeth airport it was like we knew him for ever. We couldn't have picked a better place to spend our vacation if we wanted to. When we got to the lodge and shown...

What a great way to end our holiday! From first contact to the last good bye's, nothing we can fault. Excellent meals, amazing views, lovely people, 3* rates with 5* service, most comfortable rooms and the big bath tub... Majiki Lodge is a place where you feel welcome, can relax without feeling guilty and actually feel rested when you leave....

Russ donated this trip for the Jim Shockey Shootout benefiting injured veterans. We purchased the donation in 2010 and took it in April of 2011. It was the more than you can imagine. Russ, July and staff were the best. The hunting was more that anyone could expect. Russ taylored our trip to meet all of our goals and needs....

I stayed here in December 2011 as an alternative to the very expensive game lodges in the area such as Amakhala, Addo etc. The lodge is no more than 15 minutes from Addo, Scotia Safaris and Amakhala where you can do your game drives without spending a fortune. If you book a game drive through Amakhala, you can also include...
