After cycling the first section of the Alps2Ocean trail, the Station Cottage was absolute luxury. This is the newest building with lots of privacy and amazing views of Mount Cook. The beds were comfortable, the cottage was clean, the kitchen was fully equipped and the owner very accommodating! We couldn't ask for more. Fresh salmon for dinner and fresh eggs...

We stayed (2 couples) at Station Cottage after having biked from Mt Cook/Aoraki that day. The cottage was delightful with 2 double bedrooms and 2 bedrooms with twin beds. Also 2 bathrooms. The living/kitchen area was delightful going out onto a large deck which looked out to Lake Pukaki and up to Mt Cook. Absolutely stunning views! Our dinner (salmon)...

We stayed at the Shearer's quarters as part of an Active Adventure trip. The weather and the views on the first stay were simply spectacular. You are away from any civilization and feel like Mt Aoraki and the beautiful lake are all yours. The rooms are quite nice, but the amenities are very rustic in keeping with the Shearer's quarter...

Our tour group occupied the entire main rooms and the separate cabin. We were treated to a stampede of sheep while checking in. The sky cleared after our arrival so we had wonderful views of the lake and the Mt cook ranges. The cabin had plenty of room. We shared a communal toilet and shower that had multiple stalls which...

We stayed in pine cottage. It is a small and comfortable cottage with lovely views to the lake from two bedrooms. There are three bedrooms in total... although you have to walk through the second bedroom to get to the main bedroom or go outside. Pros Amazing views of the aqua lake and snow tipped mountains Washing machine BBQ and...

My wife and I spent 2 nites at the Shearing Shed as part of an Active Adventures tour of New Zealand. The setting is amazing with incredible views of Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. The accommodation is rustic and set in the middle of a cow pasture. The cows were a bit shy, but provided some good entertainment and...

Thank you for your review. The Shearers lodge is located on a working High Country farm, we could fence it off but have chosen not to as that would impact the expansive view, so occasionally we do need to graze that paddock. When you stayed it was with cows and calves which can be quite inquisitive. There are 2 bedrooms...

This has to be one of the best locations in the world for a B & B. We stayed in the newest cottage - Station Cottage - beautifully but simply furnished with panoramic views of Mount Cook. With nothing between us and the stunning blue Lake and with the backdrop of the pink mountain in the setting sun, it was...

Stayed in the Shearer's Quarters (Lodge?) On our first night of the Alps to Ocean Cycle Trail. Amazing place to stay, warm and comfortable. All food was provided to us and they were amazingly accommodating to difficult dietary requirements. 10/10

Braemar Station is a working sheep station just outside of the town of Tekapo , they have a few cottages, that are all set away from each other so they feel very private. Pine Cottage situated about 300 meters from Lake Pukaki, the views of the green/blue lake and the southern alpes are stunning. The renovated cottage is very welcoming...
