Stayed here for just one night to get away. Great location, very quiet, and a short stroll to the lake and church. Room and decor very dated but clean and tidy. Team were very helpful and kind when I left something behind, and had it in a postage bag the next day - great service!

We were given a very warm welcome. We had been allocated Rowena Cottage which would have been a much better experience if it had been cleaned from top to bottom and decorated. The decor was very tired. There were more doors to the bedrooms just curtains. When we put the lights on having eventually found some switches, the electrics are... More

( + ) -Great location. 2 minute walk to Lake Tekapo. 5-10 minute walk to restaurants/bars. -Nice size cottage for 2-4 people. The one we had included a small living space, full kitchen, dining space, and two “bedrooms.” They are in quotes because the rooms don’t have doors. Just curtains or partitions to separate it from the other rooms in... More

Stayed 4 nights in two bedroom, two bathroom cottage with kitchen / dining between bedrooms. Cottage was clean , tidy and comfortable. Having the ensuite bathroom to each bedroom was great. Nice covered verandah to site on and enjoy the view to snow covered mountains. Cottages are reasonably quiet and private being away from the roads. Cottage was also warm,... More

We stayed two nights at the Tekapo Cottages, in a two bedroom cottage. There were good points and bad points. Following are the pros and cons--- Pros— . 1. The View -- The view out the porch—basically a handicap ramp – was beautiful: a range of snow-capped mountains. 2. Location. The location is excellent – easy walking distance to the... More

I booked tekapo cottages for my boyfriends birthday. We stayed in the studio which was really cosy, with this stunning view. Nothing was too much when we needed extra towels & toilet roll. The owners were so friendly, location was perfect, once you're over the bridge it's less than 5 mins to the lake. The only reason I haven't given... More

Already we have returned to Lake Tekapo Cottages twice. We first stayed in The Pines, then the Honeymoon Suite and lastly Mina Cottage. Each time we have booked on their website for a particular cottage we have been moved to a different one when we arrived. This has never been a problem for us as mostly we were upgraded for... More

Our family (2 adults, 1 toddler) stayed for a night as a stop over between Christchurch and Queenstown. We stayed in the East Wing cottage. It was snowing when we arrived so it was a welcome surprise to have the heating cranked and firewood ready to go for our little wood heater (although we didn't get the chance to use... More

We stayed for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago. The bedlinen was immaculate but the rest of the 'shed' was basic. It looks as though a new toilet and wash basin had been put in - only problem was the toilet was not screwed to the floor and the pipework came apart at one point. When we arrived the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Potting House for one night. It was simple, but cozy and warm. Exactly what you hope for when paying $100/night. The one thing that could be improved was that the TV was small, outdated and quite frankly a waste of space. However we were there for the stars and they were stunning. I... More
