The place has everything you and your family need to relax and to enjoy Mendoza! Its location is perfect, you will find everything you need to spend a week at Pilgrims. Gardens are really nice and it’s a quite place. A lot of wineries and restaurants close by. The most remarkable is the service. The owners (Sara and Luis) made our journey truly comfortable, they were on every single detail. And the “Criollo” breakfast they make is something special. For those that’s looks a space where Covid is prevented, this is the one!

We stayed at Pilgrim's Rest during Christmas week 2019. The property was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. The staff (Sara and Cynthia) were two if the kindest people we've encountered during our travels. They were so helpful and accommodating to us...especially given that we were visiting during a holiday. The property is perfectly situated for wine tours (at the end of a quiet residential street)...and walking distance (30 minutes) to the town square in Chacras de Coria. Opt for the upstairs suite if it's available. It was well-worth it and provided a great view of the grounds. The only criticism I have is that it's a bit difficult to find a Taxi back to the property late at night (and Uber isn't really present there), but we always managed. If we hadn't, I know Sara would have gladly picked us up. We are thankful to have found this place...and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.…

My husband and I recently stayed four nights at Pilgrim's Rest during a two week trip of the Mendoza region. It's a beautiful spacious property in a residential neighborhood of Chacras de Coria. Sara and her daughter, Cynthia, are incredibly welcoming and warm. Cynthia speaks perfect English and Sara was very patient with our Spanish. Our room was large and clean (except shower - which had gunk on the corners. The floor was dark so I imagine it's hard to clean, but I noticed when I dropped soap on the floor). The beds and pillows were perfect - just firm enough and no lumps in pillows. There were three guest rooms off the back of the house with entries from the outside and we stayed in one of these. I believe there is at least one more room inside the house. The home felt very safe as it's walled and has a locked gate (we never felt unsafe anytime during our 2 week trip). There is a huge backyard/ garden with lots of seating areas, a lovely pool and gazebo, and even soccer goals and a ping pong table. We didn't have our kids with us but another family did and they seemed to be having a great time. The home is located down an unpaved, very rocky street. We had a car and we were glad we did. Without a car visitors would have to take taxis everywhere or walk down the very bumpy road (no sidewalk on most of it). The morning breakfast for us was fine, not amazing. The coffee was a little weak, especially compared to coffee we had at other family-run hotels and local coffee shops. The fresh-baked facturas and medialunas were delicious, served with a selection of good jams. There was always some fruit, nothing amazing just apples, oranges, bananas, and cold ham and cheese. For us the breakfast could have bumped up a notch with an espresso option (or stronger coffee), higher quality fruit, and (I know this will sound American), an option of a fried or scrambled egg in the morning. Overall we felt very welcomed and comfortable during our stay at Pilgrim's Rest. If we were to return to Chacras we would definitely stay here again, and would love to go back along with our kids.…
