Travellers' Choice
Finca Adalgisa is an early 20th-century manor house and vineyard estate in the heart of Mendoza wine-growing region of Argentina. It is a charming family home converted in 2001 into the first boutique wine hotel and winery in Mendoza. Our guests are warmly welcomed as new friends and our home is your home. We have a relaxing and informal environment where things can be arranged spontaneously.

My wife and I booked 4 nights at Finca Adalgisa in November 2019. Overall, we enjoyed it tremendously. Pros: Breakfast was very good with different fresh juices daily. Our rooms was very nice and offered a hamac by our room entrance, which my wife enjoyed a lot. The pool area was on the edge of the vineyards which was nice. The premises are absolutely beautiful and my wife felt she was in paradise. Cons: Lack of service during lunchtime. At night, tapas are offered. You can also sign up for a cooking class including dinner but the price is a bit high for what it is (thus we didn’t book it). We were pretty disappointed by the lack of friendliness of the owner. She happened to be there while we were doing our checkout yet did not say “thank you” or “we hope you enjoyed your stay with us” or anything else for that matter, basically completely ignoring her guests. Normally, the owner or manager always thanks his guests and we thought that was rather unfriendly, borderline impolite. It changed our overall feeling of the stay. Overall, this is a good price/quality ratio and my wife felt she was in paradise (until the cold checkout experience). PS: they have a couple friendly cats on the premises.

Hotel's Favourite
This is a beautiful, expertly-run boutique hotel at the heart of a small vineyard that creates its own relaxed atmosphere. We stayed for four nights in the main house and loved it. Our room was large, comfortable and stylishly furnished. There is excellent wifi throughout and an ever-friendly, helpful staff. Breakfasts catered for virtually all tastes with a wide selection of fruits, yogurts, freshly cooked meals and breads. We ate dinner in once and joined six others for the BBQ. It was very good indeed and not groaning with meat as we feared. There were different cuts of beef and pork as well as locally made sausages, cooked root vegetables, salads and two styles of potato. All were washed down by wines produced around the hotel. The BBQ was quite expensive but worth it. A restaurant and bar opening out on to a small vineyard is part of the complex tucked away and it is a tradition that each night everyone is invited there for a glass of wine as the sun goes down. The grounds are well kept with a pretty pond and sculptures while there is also a good swimming pool bordered by the vines. Quite some setting. Mendoza, which is well worth a visit, is 45 minutes away in a taxi - Uber also worked well. Of course, there are also many other wine tasting tours and trekking nearby. For the brave, the hotel offers bicycles. Finca is on the edge of a small town which has a number of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops in. All are within easy walking distance. The hotel recommended the nine course tasting menu at one local restaurant which proved to be great advice with superb food although the atmosphere was slightly sterile. Most of all, the Finca is a peaceful base and haven. It is a complete contrast to anywhere else we visited in Argentina. We would return.

Stayed here at the end of a tour of Argentina and what a way to relax and wind down after hectic travelling around. It is simply beautiful and relaxed. All the public areas are tasteful and authentic. There is a nice pool, perfect to cool down in and everything is tasteful and designed for the pleasure of the guests. Every evening there was a complimentary glass of the delightful home grown Malbec and a snack and 2 or 3 times a week there is a BBQ where you join with other guests taste the local wine and enjoy beautiful Argentinian cuisine. Lots of meat!! It is a very sociable and enjoyable evening. Breakfast is good, with delicious breads. It is located centrally in the town which has a lovely town square and a good choice of restaurants, cafes and bars. There are also plenty of supermarkets and a delicatessen almost next door where you can buy lunch and eat in the shade at the hotel. The staff were so helpful and pleasant it was a wonderful location to stay, relax and enjoy the foods and wines of Mendoza. Just one word of warning ...... mosquitoes 🦟 make sure you take repellent with you!

We spent three nights in this lovely hotel at the end of our two week holiday of Argentina and it was definitely the highlight. It's a beautiful hotel and the bedrooms are lovely. So nice to walk through the vines to the pool. The evening complimentary glass of wine and tapas are fab. We rented bikes from the hotel and visited other vineyards during the day. Judith at the front desk was great for helping us organise everything. Would highly recommend!
