Firstly this hotel complex is huge, I checked in at reception and was given very vague directions to the block I was situated in. Of which I got lost, in a resort like this there should be some sort of map or better signage to find your room failing that if someone cant understand your directions due to poor english then get off you bottom and show me. Anyway I found it.... the rooms are extremely basic, there is no headboard on the bed there are no tea and coffee making facilities (i know this is a very british thing but still in other countries they have cottoned onto this idea). There is no facilities for ice for the room there is no bottled water in the room. The toiletries are ok but on dispensers bolted to the wall. The only food outlet in the evening is the bar on the beach this is ok but waiter again no english (as if) I ordered a starter and main course and he missed out my starter so annoying for me a lost income for the hotel food was ok, you have a lot of restaurants nearby which you can walk to much better, Food in the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very good and fresh staff excellent in the buffet restaurant. The only thing I didn't like in the buffet were the birds which even eat off the buffet I know this is also the perch above where you're eating which i didnt like or find hygenic, just keep the doors shut!

Not the simpiest to found the hotel from highway especially at evening. Buildings are in a lush garden. Clean rooms, super view to pool and to the sea. Free wireless internet. Nice beach area, fine breakfast. Interesting, that breakfast have to pay immediately - may no room credit?

Good-Morning Sir, We thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. For the breakfast and all your consumptions during your stay, you can choose to do "room credit" : if you have previously, left a credit card imprint at the reception - when you check-in. We hope to see you soon in one of our residences.

This hotel has the perfect location with a great beach. The bar has posh decor and a relaxing vibe. Walking distance to restaurants and Plage de la Datcha. Love the ocean view from the little balcony!

Okay if you are looking to relax and do not care about the size of the room or what the room look like then... this is the place to stay. The ascetic of the property is well kept and nice. The hotel has access to the beach and it has a pool. A restaurant I believe it's called the le pelican and then the buffet spot. Please do not waste your time with breakfast its not good and right outside you can literally get food less than 5 mins. The pelican serve nice drink. The ti punch coco was good. The food was decent. Extremely overpriced and it takes long. I order the fries and beef stew. Literally got 1 piece of stew that was cut into 2 little square box. My friend had the fish and it was good. Again overpriced. But convenient if your on the beach and don't mind waiting. The buffet spot was a waste of money. They literally had nothing. We didn't do the all inclusive and we were glad. On our last day we went and I ate 6 warmed crossiants and orange juice. After locating the chef I got an omelet but it was yuck. Now our room was changed because we had 1 bed for 2 ppl. We're friends and we're not a couple. Mavela at the front desk was very pleasant and nice. She was resourceful and she spoke English well. We loved her as well when we read the reviews prior many complained about the frontdesk not being friendly we experience the opposite. The other ladies spoke English and was helpful. The room is small and infested with mosquitos. We don't know how but we spent the entire time spray and leaving smell out and killing them. The room wasn't thoroughly cleaned and one bed didn't have pillows. Later on the house keeper brought pillows. The room need to be cleaned and painted. You can see were they miss many corners in the bathroom and I. The room by the ac. Crumbs was on the floor and etc. But hey it was okay for us to stay for 2 nights. The beds are low and TV only work in French. The phone does not work and after informing the frontdesk she said she would send somebody and guess what it still didn't work. So much for calling if we needed help with anything. We had a view were we could see the beach and pool from the side but we had so many mosquito we only open it the 1st time we arrived. The glass on the door is super clean. If they clean the rooms and update the furniture and paint it can easily be a 3. The pool is small but it does the job. For the life of me I couldn't understand why water was flooded in the entrance to the pool. It was disgusting so we never visited the pool because you have to walk through this water and with a Pandemic nah we opt out. We informed the front desk and I showed them pictures and it didn't get fixed. It's like a drainer need to be placed there. Also the beach isn't privately own a lot of people have access to the beach. The beach is up kept and cleaned.

The accommodations can seem to be a bit simple in the beginning, but it does deliver a good service. The restaurant serves a good food, the beach near to the hotel is beautiful and clean. Tonight I had a great night at Le Pelican, the bar they just opened. Could enjoy a good drink while listening to the waves sound, and trying some good creole tapas. It’s a comfortable hotel, with a good service and a good localization, near restaurants, bars, casinos and great landscapes. I’d come back more times.

Hotels in guadeloupe is generally quite expensive and we find this hotel very good value for money (Eur 120 per night including breafast for the three of us). We stayed in the salako building. The room is quite old and the aircondition drips water. Evening entertainment was boring and loud . BUT, the location was really good. Hotel has its own beach with fine white sand. We did not need to drive to other places. there was also a short cut along the beach to a ferry stop (less than 10 minutes walk) that can get you to the super nice small island ilet du gosier. Sea view from our balcony was very nice. The restaurant where breakfast is served is right by the sea - always feels so good to start the day with nice views. We ate buffet dinner there once which was good. also tried the a la carte restaurant on site which was not good at all. Within very short walk there are other nice options for dinner. Remember this is a low key 3 star hotel - you get what you pay for - the beach and the view made up for the old room facilities.

Everyone was helpful and polite. If you are handicapped, be aware that you have to carry your luggage up a long winding driveway which was closed to all but deliveries. The breakfasts are excellent with many choices. Across from the hotel are a number of excellent restaurants. If you are coming on a holiday, reserve your table at the hotel in advance--we did not do that for Christmas Day, not being aware.

The Karibea Beach hotel is beautifully positioned and has a lively beach adjacent. The breakfasts were excellent though it was a battle every morning to try to persuade the staff to produce a cup of decaf coffee! The room had superb views across the bay and was ample size. The main problem was the bathroom. Although cleaned every day it never felt or smelt as if it has been touched at all! There was definite unwholesome smell in there all the time and this was disappointing and off putting. Also it has to be said that there is a lack of provision for getting snacks during the day. The lunch and evening meals were expensive so we went out into surrounding area for food each night. It would have been useful to be able to get a baguette or cake somewhere on the site however. Beautiful position and beach but.......
