We stayed in this hotel as a treat last week and loved every second. The family room we had (room 19) was spacious and elegant, with a large bathroom. We had a great meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was good too. The staff were lovely. We stayed up late to do the ghost tour which was great fun,...

It was my first experience staying in a real Castle Hotel. It's a bit difficult to find, so recommend a Sat-Nav (GPS - is what we call here) to get there. The hotel certainly has a charm of a Castle, floors have red carpet and the furniture, wooden wall panels, framed pictures on them, chandelier lightings do reflect the ambiance....

We visited Tulloch for two nights and had a very enjoyable stay. Our bedrooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and bright. The staff was helpful and flexible, and the food was very good. The highlight was the castle tour and ghost stories with Graham, the assistant manager, and a group of other hotel guests. Nearby Rogie Falls made a great hike...

Other previous reviews had been poor but we'd hoped that things might have improved since then but sadly not. The building is amazing but that alone is not sufficient for the cost. The reception we received was very indifferent and the whole place is in need of some refurbishment. Although some of the staff were good and tried hard the...

Apparently this hotel has been on the market for sometime. It is apparent to me that they have stopped spending any money on the property. My family and I visited from Miami, Florida. We stayed in a "family room." A picture is worth a thousand words. Look at the pictures I took. The hotel is filthy and the view from...

Really very comfortable in a really atmospheric place that just oozes character and old fashioned charm! The food was excellent and the staff could not do enough to make you feel welcome even down to the impromptu guided history tour from Graham the Assistant Manager. All in all worth every penny and the breakfast by the way was first class,...

The castle is small and fort like but inside is really atmospheric. The stairs, dining room, reception and rooms, it is all furnished in old style. We had a big room with four poster bed. There was no good view, however. The staff is amazing, everybody is very friendly and they even told us the ghost stories of the castle....

It was a little hard to find the correct entrance to the car park as the sign had apparently been stolen by some local kids. Chap on reception was friendly and efficient, but as we were shown to our rooms things took a turn for the worse. Despite having booked two double rooms at the same price, one was lovely...

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry you did not enjoy the food as much as we would have liked - I will certainly pass on your comments to the Head Chef. With the nature of an old Castle all our rooms are unique in shape, size and décor and it is difficult to allocate rooms of...

Next to a business park. Drive full of potholes. Shabby gardens. Rubbish strewn around bins. Fire doors propped open. Paint falling off walls in lobby. No one around. Eventually a surly receptionist arrived. 'You can't check in until three and you'll have to go to Dingwall and wait'. The whole place looked uncared for and unkempt. We left, checked the...

Dear Guest Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you decided not to stay at the Castle after arriving around 90 minutes early. Unfortunately, we had no rooms ready for your stay, however we take you point about being offered a cup of tea so you could have waited until check in. You may have noticed that the paint...

The hotel was so-so. It was very cool and castley, but our bathroom could have been cleaner. The story of the castle is really cool so take the time to read it. We had dinner in the bar. The toffee pudding is to die for. (Skip the entree and go straight for dessert). The castle was originally built in the...
