My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Tulloch castle last week and I must say it was memorable. We were treated like a royalty by the staff and for this , My husband and I are very thankful. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Manager and Staff of the Tulloch Castle. Special shoutout to Ross who were giving us the chills during our ghost tour! My husband felt the green lady during his sleep ahah and the boy who served our dinner and of course Cy, the Thai Lady who were very nice to us. I did not get the name of the 2 receptionists who guided us and who were very welcoming also. Thank you for making our stay enchanting and Magical. Will hope to visit again. <3

The castle itself is very warm and cosy, there is a great bar area downstairs with outside seating. We stayed in the Oak Suite which was a stunning room, high ceilings, a copper bath, a huge fireplace, secret room (yup). The room has some history to it as well make sure to ask on the ghost tour.... which is absolutely worth it. Engaging and lighthearted (well apart from all the dead bodies). Friendly accommodating staff.

We really enjoyed our stay, booked through an itison deal. We upgraded to the four poster which was nice. Stayed in room 7, everything was fine but a few niggles. The bathroom was very modern with separate bath & shower. I think overall everywhere was quite sparsely decorated. Would have liked to see more of the history throughout the castle. However: 1. No lamp on dresser, you had to put the big light on to see better 2. Sink & shower didn’t drain well 3. Shower pressure was very poor and took ages to heat up, still wasn’t very hot 4. Towel rail doesn’t seem to heat up 5. Bedside table tops were quite sticky 6. You can’t watch tv in bed without the frame being in the way The room was clean, comfy bed and we slept well. No bathroom amenities, shower gel, shampoo etc due to covid. We had dinner inc in our deal, limited vegetarian options. Nice food & dessert though. Good selection of whisky, all reasonably priced. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. We did the ghost tour (£5 each) and Ross was fantastic. We would happily stay here again, it’s a great base.

The one sentence review is: everything was good except the food. Firstly the castle is in an ideal location. It is very close to the centre of Dingwall, but somehow also feels like it’s miles away from anywhere. Despite the weather we took a walk around the castle and it was very tranquil. The decoration was great and they’ve kept a lot of the original features. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The sink was cracked, but this seems to be a common theme in hotels. Where things fell down was with the food. I had a burger in the evening and the consistency was questionable and had very little taste. More concerning in the morning I had eggs florentine and the eggs were not cooked. The proteins had not denatured which meant the centre of the poached egg was still clear. I left it, and within a few minutes of cutting into it the egg white had began to run a little. I would absolutely stay here again, but next time I would eat elsewhere.

From start to finish our stay here was brilliant. Covid guidelines bring met are a very important factor going any place at present and could not fault this hotel. Temperatures taken, bookings taken for dinner and breakfast to ensure social distancing. Information sheet to advise and to assure all guilines and safety measures were in place and taken seriously. Foood served hot and very well presented. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming. A very interesting and beautiful castle Hotel. Never managed to have a ghostly experience so will have to return.
