Went with my wife for Sunday lunch on 30 October 2022, we have been here several times and had some nice meals but on this occasion it was not to be, everything seemed to have been bought in ie:- the roast potatoes, turkey and the vegetables all seemed to have been pre frozen plus we had to sit in a noisy bar as they had a private function on in the restaurant which we weren’t told about until we arrived. Apparently a few days later I learned that they hadn’t got a chef hence the pre frozen food.
The owner was fantastic and very welcoming. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location with very friendly people. The room was clean & tidy too. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with plenty of options. The hotel bar also offers a wide range of good quality beers.
Stayed one night on our way to west Wales, but would definitely stay again. Really clean and comfy room, with nice en-suite. We were overlooking the beer garden and over the bar. It is a working bar and restaurant, so we expected some noise, but there was nothing excessive, just the normal rumble of voices, and to be honest I had the best nights sleep I have had in a long time! We ate in the pub the evening of our stay, and the food was lovely - no complaints at all. Breakfast (which was included in our room cost) was also excellent and plentiful. There was a large wedding party staying in most (all) of the other rooms, and sometimes the service was a tiny bit slow, but nothing that detracted from our stay
Good - Location is OK, 10 min walk to centre. Reasonably quiet residential road. Parking. Bad - Terribly uncomfortable beds - springs poking into you, no support whatsoever. Same as my student beds! Ugly - Service at breakfast times is short and burdensome. If ordering a hot breakfast after 9.30 staff seem put out. On one occasion at 9.50am requested more toast to be told - sorry chef is closed up that area! Summary, High rates for quite an average accommodation and under par service.
Elegant and characterful hotel. Very friendly and welcoming staff for evening meal. Dan is especially good at his job. Food excellent, though limited menu. Would definately recommend and visit again. easy parking too.
Our second stay at The Woodberry Inn and it was every bit as good as last time. Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent management, very well appointed spotlessly clean bedrooms, lovely bar area and a great breakfast. The outdoor areas had been enhanced since our last visit (Oct 2019) and looked great. I'm sure there will be a great outdoor buzz in the warmer weather. Bridgnorth itself was looking charming in the Spring sunshine and everyone we encountered in the town was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return to The Woodberry Inn. Thank you for a great stay!
Hidden away from any main road but well worth finding. Excellent pub facilities- brilliant food and overnight accommodation is excellent quality and value. At least 3 real ales and a great and varied menu. The staff are another strong point led by the most friendly and helpful general manager. Nothing is too much trouble. Our 3 rd stay and re booked for next year. Thank you once again Ian
This stop was only a short one night stop for us. I found The Woodberry Inn online and booked a nights stay for us as a bit of a stop over before a show. On arrival the pub looked nice and clean outside and when you walk in, it is really is a lovely place. The staff were very welcoming and especially helpful when we said we couldn’t make breakfast as we had to leave quite early, staff went out of there way to look up suggestions for somewhere to go in the local area near to where we were going. The room was a little on the small side but it was fine for the two of us. It was clean and had the facilities we needed. The evening food was fantastic and we couldn’t fault it, again service from staff was great. We would stay again if we were in the area, I’d recommend staying if you are looking for a stop over.…
Stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday what a mistake The room they gave us was the FRIARS room It should have been called the Alice In Wonderland Room it was the smallest room we have ever stayed in We could not pass each other in the room it was that small, there was no airflow in the room so someone thought we'll stick a fan in the room which made it more difficult to move about. Seriously though this room made me quite ill due the lack of ventilation and space, I find it incredible that they charge:£90 for this cupboard/room if you stay here ask which room you are getting, it spoilt our little trip away for my wife's birthday and no wonder the manager looked a bit sheepish as we left I should have demanded a refund
Visited here Friday. We booked a room which was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and decorated. Bed linen and towels brilliant white. The whole place, Inc the bar, restaurant and beer garden is lovely. The full English breakfast was delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Manageress, sorry, didn't get your name, is so friendly and welcoming. The Woodbury Inn is about 10 minute walk from High Town or 3 min drive. We had a taxi which cost £3. It's well worth a visit.
