We visit this restaurant at least once a month for the carvery and have never been disappointed by the food. The meat is always served in huge portions and the veg is refreshed often. Seasonal veg is to be expected so the choice changes quite often. The only negative about the food is the sauces are placed before the veg...

This lovely Inn is very much "off the beaten track". It's nearly 3 miles to Bridgnorth, so you definitely need transport. On arrival the big, airy room (Room 5) seemed fine. I had to ask for replacement bedding as it was all feather - a real luxury for some people but a nightmare for those who are allergic! All good......

Visited for lunch and was pleased with the carvery on offer. Three meat choices and lots of fresh cooked vegetables. There was also a good alternative menu. The views of the countryside from the dining room were lovely and the staff were warm and friendly.

The bedrooms seem to have been added to the main pub and are therefore very modern whilst the pub still has oak beams and traditional charm. Our room was tastefully furnished, the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had plenty of...

Had heard that The Down had an excellent carvery so rang up on the day and managed to book a table for half an hour later. My husband and I both had turkey and beef. The beef particularly was very tender and full of taste, home made Yorkshire puddings and the vegetable selection was outstanding. Only minor criticism is that...

We are local to this hotel only living in Bridgnorth but stayed over for a party we had. Excellent clean and well maintained rooms with all facilities you will need from a lovely quaint old world pub. Breakfast excellent and beautiful location. We will definitely stay again.

My family and I regularly visit this excellent Inn for a carvery. The food and service is always first class and the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone without hesitation.

We stayed at this B&B recently whilst attending a party nearby. The rooms were nice and clean and the person who checked us in were friendly. However, when I got back to my room, I could hear music going in the function room, so loud that the floor was vibrating. Every time someone opened the door, the noise was louder....
