My friend and I travelled to Carnforth Royal Station Hotel for a short two day break on the 27/28 December 2016 and were delighted at the choice of hotel. Glen and Maggie are doing a power of work on this old hotel and are successfully transforming it into a must venue for all. We were greeted on arrival by Maggie...

What a place, we booked with the old management for my Birthday, and then heard they had gone and new people had tool over, well what can I say about the new Managers/Owners?? they were nothing but helpful from the off, happy with me calling them in a panic, happy to go through things a 100 times, they could not...

To be honest, I tend to avoid lower cost hotels that have "Royal" in their name, as they usually turn out to be pretty poor, and this one was no exception! I had to be on site in Carforth Railway depot early on Monday morning, so needed somewhere local to stay. This hotel is badly run down and nothing but...

I ate here this weekend as part of a group of 13. We had all had a roast beef main and Black Forest gateau pudding. The food was delicious, all the plates were empty when they were taken away! I must also thank the staff for all of their effort in looking after us while we were there, every staff...

Have stayed here several times, but this was the first time in a couple of years. Same lovely building, but in the process of being updated and looking great for it. Great service, and the food was excellent quality. Still clean, comfy, and warm, but now feels to have life and a future to it. Despite being out walking and...

Great to see this amazing building has been bought by someone prepared to spend money on it. They now have a professional chef and serve evening meals. Our food was expertly cooked and service was excellent. Let's face it Carnforth is a desert when it comes to good places to eat so let's hope word gets out and this can...

Went for dinner after leaving a very noisy pub and decided to stay the night on impulse. Dinner, with friends, was excellent. Good food, well cooked and served by efficient and friendly waiting staff. The hotel is being refurbished and last time we visited over a year ago, the restaurant was full of scaffolding and a collapsed ceiling. Now it...

Stayed here after the original hotel we booked cancelled on us. The hotel does need some modernising, however the welcome and service we received was brilliant. Really friendly and helpful plus a fantastic breakfast made for a great nights stay.

Under the new management of Glenn and Maggs our stay was most pleasant. Rooms although dated ( a refurbishment program is under way ) were clean and beds comfortable, plenty of hot water for the showers . Breakfast and evening meals were good size and well presented. Staff and management were most helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble....
