Friendly welcome and excellent service throughout. Family room was spacious and well-equipped with a cot for our son. Hot bath and shower much appreciated. Breakfast was included in room rate, and provided many options. Personally, I would prefer slightly stronger coffee, more fruit salad and better ingredients. In short, would recommend this great value option to TA users. Well-located in...

Went with a fairly large group. Ordering took forever, they served the other diners before our group. It seemed the kitchen couldn't cope with too many orders. Having said that the decor was modern and OK, nothing special Food was good. I had Duck Salad. How they can describe this as a salad is beyond me. 3 long, thin lettuce...

Firstly Staff at The County Hotel were excellent, very helpful and really couldn't do enough for us. The Main building was really nice too, spotlessly clean and the refurbishment was to a very high standard. Our room was very nice too, large room clean room and the same applied to the bathroom. However, and this is totally my fault for...

The building has recently been renovated and presents nicely and the staff are ask very helpful, but...during our stay there was a function on and it appeared there was insufficient staff to really cope. Having said that, the service was adequate and the food of a good standard when taking the price into account. All in all, I would definitely...

The booking was for 9 people, but when we arrived the reserved table with our name on was only set for 7. We were moved down the room to just outside the kitchen - so we were to find out! We went to the bar for drinks and the girl had no idea what glass to serve drinks in, the...

Great service, helpful staff. I was unexpectedly upgraded to the family room which was huge. Nicely decorated and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Made me realise what I am missing in terms of comfort at home. Food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was very good indeed. Reasonably priced too. Bathroom needs upgrading but I don't really mind that....

We have passed it many times but decided to give it a try for lunch. We were impressed by the quality refurbishment. The menu was varied and the staff polite and friendly. My son & his wife both opted for the burger which was huge and came with lovely chips and salad. I was glad that I opted for the...
