Excellent food whether ordering from the main menu or from the specials board. We have visited twice in the last couple of weeks, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Food was excellent, choice of drinks. It is great that they do loose green tea as in most places you only get tea bags so its nice to get a...

We arrived at the farm at 5pm. Shown to our room and given the key. The room was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. It was in no way spacious but compact and cosy. We joked with the owner Frieda on the way to the room that there wouldnt be any traffic noise. Nothing could have prepared us for the other...

Great welcome from friendly Staff, warm and welcoming. Perfect 'lite bites' for a mid ride snack.. Great fresh coffee Egg on toast to be recommended (dependant on availability there's a choice between hen and duck).. Secure yard for bikes (always carry a small lock) away from road.. Worth seeking out..

I have just looked at the comment adout being over priced. Me & my wife have stayed here B & B for the past three years & found it superb. I,m sure that if those people had asked or mentioned it they would have been given more with pleasure. When we have stayed there they could not have done more to...

Thank you Trevor & Betty for reconfirming we are on the right track. The confusing thing is the people who wrote the review were tea room customers, who chose off the menu and then gave that review.

My wife and I dropped in here on a cold wet winters day, we were made very welcome and sat at a table, the lady who served us was very nice and helpful and promptly took our order which arrived in double quick time, I ordered the small breakfast and that's exactly what I got, 1 egg, spoonful of Heinz...

I'm sorry you didn't find us value for money, we use local fresh ingredients where ever possible and our small breakfast is a very popular choice on the breakfast menu.

A very comfortable room in a very quiet location. Lovely home cooked breakfast to start the day. Lovely hosts who go out of their way to help. A great location for visiting Martin Mere WWT. Out first visit to both and certainly not our last. Good value for money and would recommend.

We back on to Martin Mere so you can hear the birds going over. Glad you enjoyed your first visit to the area and there is so much more to do, it's a great excuse to come back.

I visited the Farm in Burscough for lunch with a friend. It was not our first visit but I have not been for quite a few months. Nothing has changed - and that's just brilliant because it is as fabulous as it has always been. Good home cooked delicious meals and great value for money. Service delivery - excellent! I...

Beautiful room with slanted ceiling under the roof (Room 1), and large spacious bathroom. Quiet location, off the beaten track. The real hit was the breakfast though, the full english was just what was required after a wedding party the night before.

Enjoyed fine hospitality and a scrumptious peach and apricot bakewell tart in a sunny garden. There is tea room serving hot and cold food. Lovely array of cakes! Fantastic breakfast including a wonderful vegetarian black pudding. Rooms were very comfortable and i enjoyed a lovely walk along the canal path . A perfect spot if you are dropping off kids...

I stayed here whilst doing a 2 day sporting event. I arrived after my first event injured, the staff gave me every assistance including tea and plenty of sympathy. But I digress, it is a nice quiet place with a lovely tea room and farm shop. The room was small but very clean and tidy and provided everything you would...
