Very cozy hotel and the staff was very nice. The decoration of the rooms looks like you are in a hipster hotel, my room had a view where i could the see train passing by whyle sitting on the bed, really good. Very clean. The staff at breakfast was very pleasant in anything that we needed. I think ot's a...

After a two year absence, coming back to The Lynwood Hotel was like coming home..Kath is as charming as ever. And the rooms are as comfy as ever. Needless to say how fab the breakfast is! (This time I took photos) The hotel is great for visiting family around Ashton but you don't want to stay with them. It's homely...

Stayed here last night whilst attending a friends wedding nearby. On arrival Kath, welcomed us into her accommodation and was extremely friendly and helpful. Showed us to our room, explained the keys and breakfast times. The hotel is a little older in decor but very clean, tidy and well loved. We stayed in the twin room which had everything we...

We stayed one night in this excellent small hotel. Comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean good sized room, very nice lady and a really hearty breakfast. We were travelling by train and went to the wrong end of the street so put the house number if using google-maps! Our hostess booked us into the local Italian restaurant - Verdi - which...

Four of us stayed at The Lynwood last weekend and what an excellent Hotel. Rooms spotlessly clean and en-suite with really comfortable beds really. A wonderful host who cooks a marvelous breakfast. If your looking for somewhere to stay in the Ashton area this is the place. And to cap it off it was so reasonably priced Briilient all round

We have stayed at the Lynwood (often several times a year) since our youngster was in a baby chair. He is now 12. Kath's hotel is a home from home, and we always receive a warm welcome. I've seen comments about the sausages -- Junior ONLY likes his the way Kath does hers! Another comment was about the run-down area......The...

I was the guest of friends here and I had a private en suite room. The host was very cordial, explained the workings of the keys, doors, etc and my friends and I were able to easily walk a few blocks to our evening on the town. The room was spotlessly clean, with comfortable twin beds, a cupboard for clothes,...

We were in the area for a friend's wedding and whilst researching for places to stay we saw lots of positive reviews about this guesthouse/B&B. On the positive side it was much cheaper than the bigger chain hotels so that along with positive reviews lead us to stay here. However, we were underwhelmed when we arrived. The area was a...

I have stayed several times at the Lynwood Hotel periodically over the course of over a year and I have not been disappointed. The rooms are nice, and the beds are comfortable. I usually take the single non ensuite but the bathroom is just across the hall. Towels are changed daily, and Kath's breakfasts are legendary. She knew of my...
