The hotel itself per the name is a apartment style hotel with a kitchen and separate living room area. The room itself was very spacious for two. Loads of room and storage. Separate TV area for the living room was nice. Bathroom was also spacious with a full tub and shower/sink area. The room was furnished basically but felt clean and well styled.
Amenities are various, there is a outdoor pool area. It is small and was taken up with lots of kids but we went there briefly on our first day owing to limited time. There is a laundry area and small gym also which is useful although we did not use.
Unfortunately breakfast was not being offered due to covid but there is a vending machine for basics.
We mainly stayed here due to the free parking, this is as others mentioned not secure but you are able to park outside the hotel in a shopping complex the hotel is based in. It felt reasonably secure but naturally you do leave the car at your own risk.
In terms of the general location you are based in what I would describe as a industrial zone but was surprisingly busy. I would suggest you need a car because the nearest metro is over a 20 minute walk. Pro tip we noted from other reviews you can drive to Valencia Sud which has a free car park and hop on the metro for 10 mins to get into town to save parking and driving around the centre.
There is actually a fair amount around the hotel, there is a lidl supermarket a few mins walk, kfc and a few fast food chains close by.
Staff were also very friendly and helpful and despite limited English made a effort to always offer help where they could.
Only knock I would have is they have a rather odd maid service, the room is only serviced every three days. They do change the bins if you leave them out and you can request new towels but just seemed a little cheap.
What I would say is for the price we paid (£50) we were pleased and it does offer excellent value but would recommend you have a car or you will be walking a lot.
The apartment is comfortable but the kitchen is sparsely equipped and you can't expect to turn up and be able to live in it. Equipment ran to an oven with hob, microwave, freezer, fridge & dishwasher with provided tablets. There are no washing facilities, line or drier but there is a nearby laundry room which we didn't explore. Cutlery runs to a small selection of mugs and glasses & a few pans. To give you an idea of how you might need to prepare we ended up buying a kettle, a sharp knife, dishclothes & liquid and coffee making equipment.
There is a television set in the front room with an HDMI connection and terrestrial tuner. There are plenty of European standard plugs throughout the apartment and a safe is provided. Hot water was plentiful.
The apartments are set in an unattractive low rent retail park and have a view of the car park. There is a Carrefour supermarket just over the road where you can buy the necessities mentioned above and a range of other local shops. If you really don't go for Spanish cuisine, McDonalds and KFC are also within walking distance...
Valencia is an easy drive about 15 minutes up the road and has lots to offer. For local beaches however we'd recommend driving to El Saler by heading out East from the hotel down the CV-401 which takes you across the water park. You'll have spectacular views of herons, storks and maybe even the local flamingos and then reach a sandy beach.
The Aparthotel has free parking outside which fills up rapidly and a larger free parking area in the basement. You can take the lift straight up from the basement to the apartments but have to walk back down the stairs.
All in all, a very practical and enjoyable choice for a base near Valencia which lets you take advantage of everything the local area has to offer from a comfortable location.
Highly recommend starting here.
Travelocity rate it as a "superior 4 Star hotel distinguished with a high level of service and hospitality, as well as a wide variety of amenities and upscale facilities".
Apartotel Beta Albufera is not an hotel. It is an apartment block outside Valencia (30 min bus ride) in the middle of a 'Lakeside' commercial district.
The rooms are simple self-contained apartments. Decent enough bathroom shower. The tiny double bed was rock hard. The kitchen unit came complete with a single glass but no cutlery.
The "excellent restaurant facilities" were nothing of the sort. There was some sort of ridiculous self-service breakfast where you laid your own table and could choose from salami or a cold miniature croissant.
Our 'landscaped grounds' consisted of a McDonald's and a furniture shop. I felt that the staff tried to be helpful (they let me use their office to check the internet) but that they might have been a little slow - the taxi we asked them to book us for the airport arrived 35 mins late!
Taxi's from the city centre to the "hotel" cost about 14 euros.
I urge you to book early and find a proper hotel near the city centre.
Hire a bike and cycle around Valencia for a day. No one eats before 12pm which can be difficult to get used to in a short visit. (Restaurants don't really open before 9pm).
Valencia has its charms, but they are few and far between. I don't think Nov is a good time to visit.
I'd recommend Barcelona over Valencia.
I agree that it is a little way out of Valencia so the most annoying thing is having to pay for a lot of taxis however if there is a group of people to share the price then it isn`t so much of a problem.
Considering we booked this on the internet taking a bit of a risk we paid just £88 each for 4 nights but were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms.
They are spacious and u get not only the double bedroom but a reasonable bathroom and living/dining area plus an equpped kitchen in our case. It was only built last year so it is still nice and clean also!
Overall to cut a long story short for 88 quid for 4 nights it was well worth the money but I would agree that if you were going for a luxury stay asa couple it`s probably not the best option because of the distance from Valencia and lack of facilities!
However I must add we had a taxi that worked for the hotel and was only charged about 10 euros each time to go into town which isn`t a lot really.
Fundamentally this hotel is located in a suburb of Valencia in a retail park. The big issue on night one was a city party about 2 miles away that could have been heard on the moon. Constant monotonous drumming until 5am.
We were moved to another room but warned by the manager that the problem would be noise from the air conditioning next door. She was right.
They refunded our money without question even though it was a prepaid non refundable rate. Staff were excellent and very understanding but we just couldn't deal with the noise
Ideal for longer stay although I only had two nights. Walking distance to small mall and shops, restaurants. OK basement parking.
Short drive to Valencia city.
Uses the facilities of the adjacent Best Western Albufera Hotel.
