This is in a good location and Caminha is a beautiful town with lots of atmosphere. A very well run site although the showers were not particularly clean. The nearby beach also is not clean. The best beach in the vicinity is Moledo. A short walk through the adjacent forest leads you to a pristine beach with good cafes. Certainly... More

We went here by camper and every facility was there we have everything in the camper but the toilet needs to be cleaned the water changed and filled etc. everthing is clean and is cleaned a few times a day. Small shady well maintain camping site,very clean facility with hot water ,2 minutes walk you are by the sea ,and when the Atlantic is rough you have the river beach ( also sandy) 10 mins walk to town ,one of the best camping in Portugal

We camped with our tent for one night in September 29th, but probably in summertime it will be crowded because it's a small camping site. This site is situated about 20 minutes away from the town of Caminha and about 100 metres from an Estuary beach or an Atlantic beach. The site has got lightly sloping pitches so levelling blocks would be useful and most are shaded by pine trees. There's a bar, cafeteria and a grocery shop on site so you can pick up... More

No doubt about it: Caminha is wonderful, a magic place with medieval treasures; the landscape formed by the river and ocean is a dream. But: If you can stay away from this site do it.
