Beautiful location and friendly staff. The view is fantastic. Food in the restaurant was excellent. The water in the jacuzzi could have been a little warmer but otherwise everything was really great. Definitely would recommend the hotel.
This hotel is fabulous, very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, gorgeous views, we had problems with our transfers and Sarah who works on reception went above and beyond to help, and make our stay memorable. She organized our room to have a nice surprise the next day and also she asked the kitchen to make my hubby a cake, which was a nice touch and made us feel at ease, as we were very stressed from the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel, food was exceptional, and staff attentive, it's one of the best hotel I've stayed at.
Hotel stuff is extremely attentive, kind, friendly. Rooms are very nice, with amazing views over the ocean. Comfortable bed. Coffee and tea is provided in the room. Water refill available at the reception. Welcome drink at arrival. Great breakfast (fresh local fruits, fresh orange juice, lokal pastries, gluten free bread..) Nice jacuzzi and sauna available from 7am till 11pm. No inner pool, but you can use the one in the sister hotel Bay, in the town - 5 min walk. Complimentary entrance to the natural pools. Great location. Parking provided. Overall it was simply an outstanding experience.
The hotel was very nice, clean, staff was nice and helpful at all times. The facilities are great with sauna and hot tub freely accessible, room are spacious and the view... Just amazing! Thank you again for hosting us, we will send our friends your way!
Hotel very nice! Very good restaurant, délices Portugaises food . Beautiful océan with turquoise water. Sauna and Jacuzzi , included and when the weath allows it , free excese to the natural swimming pools. Strongly recommanded!
This place was really perfect for us. The room wasn’t very big but it made up for it with a terrace and an unbelievable view. Breakfast was very nice. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant one night too and it was also very nice. The staff for the most part was super friendly and helpful. Overall just great! If I can give a suggestion on a side note though. It was a bit of a struggle to find the out about the allergens on the breakfast menu. As a travelling coeliac this is always a struggle. They did provide with some nice gluten free bread and pastries. But it’d be great if someone in the staff was able to inform exactly what was coeliac friendly amongst the warm food or even have them tagged. These would make a lot of travellers with allergies very happy I’m sure.
If you love the ocean you cannot fail to love this hotel and it’s position - an unrivalled view across the lava pools to the ocean. The room was of an adequate size and nicely equipped. Comfortable bed, hot shower. Some noise from doors banging in the corridor at night but we tend to go to sleep early! Breakfast excellent choice of meats and cheeses and I liked the fact that we were given our own pair of tongs to use for the buffet - never had that before. We were half board and ate in the Seaview restaurant both evenings. A varied menu and choice of wines by the glass. My only criticism is that the portion sizes were Huge and in a 3 course meal I couldn’t eat half of the main courses or desserts ! The food is very nicely presented and decorated with flowers - I’m not sure if they were all edible though and I’ve always believed that Anything put on a plate should be edible not just decorative. Staff are friendly and helpful and I would love to return to this hotel.…
This hotel is about as far away from Funchal as you can get. It's worth the drive! The room was spacious, very clean, had a spectacular view of the ocean. And because this hotel is on the north-west corner of the island, you get fabulous seas. We actually spent one day just watching the waves from our little deck. Would definitely return here.
The hotel is possibly the best choice in the village as it has the most beautiful position and impressive views of the ocean from rooms and restaurant. Moreover it is just a few meters away from the natural sea pools and the entrance is free for its clients. Service and staff are extremely helpful and kind. Highly recommended!
Though a bit of the beaten path, this hotel is a fantastic place to stay to enjoy and explore Madeira. The buffet breakfast is varied, fresh and delicious. You can't beat the amazing ocean views from the rooms! The scuba activity in the aquarium and natural pools is a once in a lifetime experience and no experience is necessary!
