Very fast and easy check-in and check-out, spacious and very clean room, excellent shower, comfortable bed with way too many pillows and no room to store them (as seems to be the new normal in all hotels), good WiFi (not tested streaming), very friendly and helpful staff - renting a car for a good price was fast and easy. Aqua Natura Bay offers free access to the natural swimming pools. Porto Moniz is not a place where you should expect gastronomic meals, but all restaurants serve reasonable quality. More expensive restaurants will usually give you a better view but not necessarily better food.

Wonderful hotel and nice rooms with a beautiful view. My room was very stylish and clean. On the top of the building is an open swimming pool with jacuzzi. The view from this swimming pool is amazing. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. For this price I couldn’t have expected anything better.

The hotel was situated right next to the harbour, the aquarium and the volcanic swimming pools. It was a beautiful setting. We were greeted with a glass of Madeiran wine and there was a bottle of sparling wine and chocolates left in the room. The infinity swimming pool had spectacular views. The water was cold, but not surprising as it was January. I have to follow a gluten free diet and this wasn't a problem, there was lots of choice at breakfast and it was clearly and accurately labelled. The staff and ambience was exceptional. I loved this hotel and I hope to come back again

We were impressed by how much attention the management and staff pay to the guests, from the welcome drink, sparkling wine in the room, coffee and tea maker to the gift on departure. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and clean, the breakfast is varied and rich. The staff is extremely friendly and always at your service. Waking up with a view of the cliffs and the ocean is unforgettable. It is only necessary to slightly renovate the saunas with the associated showers. The pool on the roof is fantastic. We are extremely satisfied and if we return to Madeira, we will stay at this hotel again. Thanks to the staff for everything.

The ambiance of the hotel is great! Great room experience. However, we were not informed about the fact that the kitchen closes early, so we ended up with no dinner, and when we pushed for anything, they sent us terrible soup to our room and charged us 16EUR for it. Breakfast was edible, not the best.

Porto Moniz, which is an absolute gem in the north outside of Funchal's noise and traffic, is home to Aqua Natura Bay. Yes, I had high expectations due to the good reviews. And yes, my expectations were exceeded. Staff was exceptionally friendly in every single interaction, always wearing a genuine smile and willingness to help you with any question you might have. We stayed in the family room, which was much larger than we anticipated. It was very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. There were four beds, so we slept comfortably and the beds were very high quality. Bathroom had a bath and the balcony (in the third floor) a beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast was very good, as expected from the other reviews, but the staff, again, exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast chef was always ready to help with anything. Downstairs there were two saunas available for booking with no extra cost, a pool and a jacuzzi that were freely available. The indoor pool was heated to be very comfortable. On the roof, there was another pool, not heated, but it didn't stop us Finns from swimming in it. And I do have to mention the cleaning, the room was exceptionally clean. The cleaning staff was very friendly, again, and did an exceptional job keeping us comfortable during our stay. Overall we definitely found the place to go back to whenever we're going back to Madeira…

Everything was great: friedly staff, wonderful view, quiet. No sound from other rooms, though there were a lot of families with Kids. Tasty and various breakfast! Sauna and turkish bath is available every day. Also we were gifred with welcome champagne)

We booked last minute on our trip to Madeira, and we're so glad we lucked out on Aqua Natura. This hotel is such a gem, with the best location and the kindest hotel staff! Location is hard to beat -- right in front of the natural pools and the aquarium. They also have free parking in the hotel premises, or metered parking nearby. Views are amazing! Head over to the rooftop for sunrise or sunset with a view of the ocean or the mountains while you take a dip in their beautiful infinity pool. The best part though is the service -- everyone from the reception to the restaurant staff to the spa therapists where accommodating and friendly. They were very generous, welcoming us with a gift and drinks, then saying goodbye with a farewell token! We would definitely love to return someday! …

Amazing hotel on the north-west coast with a solid design. Perfect wellness which open until 11pm. Delicious breakfast and nice staff. We booked for the same day, arrived late but they were nice and wellprepared.
