My husband and I stayed at Villa San Lucchese in May of this year for what I call our "Italian Extravaganzie" . We started in Rome, visited Florence, Venice, Siena, Como, Rapallo and many other stops too numerous to mention. Poggibonsi was our last stop before returning to Rome to catch plane back to Tennessee. We were both totally amazed... More

Fantastic Hotel. We really enjoyed our honeymoon and the staff made us feel like part of the family. They were extremely friendly (even those who couldn't speak English), and very helpful. The hotel is out of town so a car is essential to get about. If you want to tour Tuscany this hotel is a great centre point. Easy to... More

We stayed for four nights and felt like part of their family by the time we left. We did move to a larger room (205) which we loved. It had a beautiful view down the valley and always a nice breeze. If we were in the room we opened the windows to enjoy it. The air worked great in our... More

My family and I stayed at San Lucchese by recommendation of our travel agent. I did a lot of research on each of the places we were planning to stay during our two weeks in Italy, and this hotel was the only one I was skeptical about. And rightfully so. If you are looking for a 4 star hotel in... More

Good place to chill out.. All staff including the gardener very helpful and nice. They went the extra mile to give good service, bearing in mind they are a small country hotel. Some Americans had problems with it as it was not fast food or big chain, they could not relax in the way that Europeans can, but they did... More

We stayed here 5 nights and were very satisfied. The location makes Siena,Florence,Piza,Cianti Region and hill towns easy day trips. Marco and his family and Hotel staff allways have smile's on thier faces and are eager to help. The resturant has a excellent 4 course dinner and the huge included breakfast buffet make lunch a possible skipped meal

We were fortunate enough to spend 3 days at Villa San Lucchese last week and it was so lovely! Even though it was the slow season we were treated like family from the moment we arrived, and Marco and his sister and parents made sure we were well taken care of and had lots to do. He even arranged a... More

Stayed here with extended family group including teenagers at the end of October. A little disappointed with the standards given the rave reviews I had read. Although the owners were extremely helpful and welcoming I felt the place was looking a little tired and shabby given the price we had paid. Walls between our room and our teenagers room were...
