We enjoyed our time at Hotel Residence San Gregorio in Pienza. We loved its proximity to the main part of Pienza and the rooms were roomy and included a parking garage as well. The bathrooms aren't the most updated we saw during our time in Italy, but they were more than adequate for our needs. We loved using the hotel...

We spent one cold January day and evening in Perugia at this hotel. Our "standard double" room was large and clean with wardrobe, dresser, small refrigerator, comfortable bed, chair, and clean bathroom. Reception was especially pleasant when we drove up after trying to find the complementary parking. We got the room key which has the fob needed to raise the...

The exterior of the building is very pleasing. The very welcoming foyer has comfortable settees and a log fire. Rooms are spacious. Floors are ceramic tiled and these extend into the bathroom. Furnishings include a spacious wardrobe, fridge, chair, double bed (two singles pushed together) and bedside tables. Lighting was pleasing and sufficient to light the room adequately. The bed...

It is my opinion that you receive a lot of value for your money at this hotel; it was well worth the price. The front desk staff is friendly and kind. Although their English may be limited, they really demonstrate that they like their customers. Stafff were much friendlier here than at the 5 star very expensive hotel we stayed...

This was a second visit to San Gregorio because of it's welcome, location, facilities, reasonable rates, spacious accommodation and helpful staff and reception. Pienza is a beautiful small hill town, mostly traffic free and the hotel is only three minutes from the main gate of the town. Highly recommended for a short or extended stay.

Stayed here End of September for two nights and used it as base for exploring Pienza and surroundings. Our Standard room with bathroom was spacious and comfortable and we slept well in the double-bed (Length about 2 m - just enough for my height of 1,95 m). The room was very clean and maintained well - everything was working. The...

Pienza is really a good starting point to visit Val d'Orcia. The town itself is worth a visit and hotel S.Gregorio has a fantastic location. Pienza is such a beautiful town and this hotel was such a let down. Situated outside the old town on a very busy main road with traffic noise. The rooms are so unattractive, large with lots of dark furniture but completely lacking in design or atmosphere. Restaurant food disappointing and served by head waiter who was cold and robotic.
