Where to start? This review is not going to do this place any justice. Oh well... Alessandro, Fabrizio, Gianni, Massimo and the rest of the staff have made this 5-day/4-night stay the highlight of our 2.5-week trip to Italy. From the start (online reservation) till the end (checkout) we found service extremely professional, welcoming and simple all at the same...

My husband and I stayed here during our first trip to Tuscany for 3 nights. We were greeted and treated like family! The room was spacious and very clean! The food was the best food I have ever had!!! (and I am Italian so I am used to good food!). We were told to come here from good friends and...

We loved it so much we came back for a second visit on the same trip! My husband, 4 year-old daughter and I spent a week in the house Casini Blu and I felt like I'd found my happy place. There was no internet, no TV, no distractions, and pure peace and quiet with the most incredible sunsets, tranquility, and...

An excellent base for exploring southern Tuscany (Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, Siena, etc.), Podere Spedalone is also a destination in itself. We have come to Italy a half dozen times over the past twenty years; on every visit we stay on one or two farms; all have been good, but Podere Spedalone is the best. The centuries-old building has been restored...

We loved every moment spent at this agriturismo. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, the location is beyond beautiful, and the atmosphere is pure relaxation. We enjoyed their spa, ate delicious meals, and spent the days exploring local towns nearby. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We spent two great nights at Podere Spedalone. We wanted to stay a couple of nights and this was exactly what we were looking for. The hosts Ale and Fabrizio were so warm and friendly upon our arrival we immediately felt very welcome. We had a great room with a view out over the farm and the Tuscan hills. It...

My sister and I returned from Podere Spedalone four months ago and we still cannot stop talking about this wonderful place. The guys are the warmest hosts we ever met, the setting and rooms are idyllic, and the delicious dinner created wonderful Italian memories with new friends. I really cannot recommend this place enough. We felt so taken care of...

Passionate. Humble. Kind. Generous. Respectful. Funny. Caring. Warm-hearted. Genuine. Super-friendly and accommodating – and at the same time completely unobtrusive. These are just a few words to describe each and every person who works in this incredible agriturismo. … in the middle of nowhere, or at the center of everything? Over the course of our week’s stay we heard at...

We stayed at this magical place three times - the third time being our wedding party. When we booked it the first time in September, we immediately fell in love with the place and were enthusiastic when Alessandro allowed us to throw our wedding party at Spedalone one year later. Every stay here is special: - the place is hidden...

Me and my boyfriend spent a week in this amazing country house, sure it's the type of holiday you cannot forget. We met incredible people: Alessandro and Fabrizio took care of us with their family professionalism, Massimo prepared for us delicious dinner and Vincenzo made us laugh so much. Sunset aperitivo with the good glass of wine and the Alessandro...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Podere Spedalone dates back to the 8th century, when it was a place of shelter for pilgrims bound for Rome, situated as it is on the Via Francigena, or Frankish Route. It nestles, perfectly at ease, among the Crete Senesi and, after strictly conservational restoration, begun in 2004 and completed in 2006, it is now the ideal spot for anyone wishing to refresh spirit, senses, mind and body. ... more   less
