One of the best views of Mt. Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples is from the Grand Hotel Hermitage. We enjoyed the excellent service, the delicious dinners, and the relaxing pool at the hotel. In addition, the hotel provided a 15-minute shuttle bus ride into Sorrento, enabling us to experience this beautiful city and also to travel to nearby sites...

We stayed in the hotel (not the villa) for our honeymoon for a week in September 2011. The good: The staff are outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and they will do whatever they can to accommodate you. Antonalla and Franco were really wonderful, and very helpful with sorting out excursions and the shuttle. The other reason to book here...

Following all the good reviews on Trip Advisor, we felt confident we had picked a great hotel. It did meet with our expectations, it is in a lovely position away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and a great sanctuary after visiting the visitor attractions. Our experience: Getting there: Flew into Napoli, picked up the Currei Vision Coach directly...

We loved this part of Italy and were so pleased that we'd chosen Grand Hotel Hermitage. The hotel was spotless and we would agree with many of the reviews already written, that the service delivered by the staff was outstanding. Our stay was for Bed & Breakfast but we ate in the hotel's restaurant most evenings. We felt that the...

This hotel is rated at 4 star, it isn't. The hotel is quite dated, its near Saint Agata village which is a bonus as this has some lovely restaurants, the food in the hotel is basic, especially the breakfast this is the same every day, and the hot food is not very nice, we ended up having the cereal and...

We stayed here for a couple of nights and have to say the staff were amazing - couldn't have been more helpful from the manager down to the cleaner. Our seaview room was lovely, nice tiled floor, good view etc. However, this is a "tour operators hotel". The food was terrible, the atmosphere a bit like a holiday camp....the pool...

Dear Janice, thank you for your review and also for the nice word for our staff....Regarding the complains: 1) about the hotel atmosphere is your point of view and I think you have to respect the other opinion of the other guests... 2) we have only one tour operator in the hotel the 80% of guests are individual and book...

This was a fantastic hotel and destination. We highly recommend it. Gorgeous views, friendly and helpful staff. It would be nice to get wifi at the hotel, but you'll be on vacation, so it's ok to relax and forget about work. If the pool could be open a bit later into the evening, that would be great as many people...

We spent a week at the Grand Hotel Hermitage at the start of August and it exceeded our expectations. The shuttle bus picked us up from Sorrento and as we got higher into the hills we started seeing what an impressive view it would be. The view from the balcony, even from the 3rd floor, didn't disappoint. It was a...
