Went for dinner in Brogans recently, the food and cocktails were lovely and our waitress Rachelle took very good care of us and was very attentive. We were very comfortable as the social distancing and sanitizing was very well maintained. Overall we had a great visit and would definitely returned.

We often visit Brogan's for Sunday lunch when we're in Trim. We've always been very impressed with the overall experience. The food is superb, never disappoints. Every member of staff is friendly, creating a warm casual atmosphere. While I've always been impressed with the overall cleanliness and attention to detail, this aspect has become even more important during the current pandemic. Brogan's have really excelled in this regard. As an immunocompromised person it's comforting to see the high level of infection control. There are hand sanitisers at every turn, tables are carefully sanitised after each use with disposable paper towels, laminated menus are sanitised after each use. That attention to detail, combined with the lovely staff make Brogan's our favourite spot.

Had a lovely meal in Brogans bar on Saturday night. The waitress was very pleasant and food was good, unfortunately a waiter dropped food behind my chair which then covered my coat in sauces. These things happen as it was an accident, it was the manner in which it was dealt with that irritated me. Nobody acknowledged it, when I asked to speak to the manager about it he told me to take it to the dry cleaners and bring a receipt back, firstly I don't live in Trim so I would have to make a journey back with the receipt, and when I stated this I was told to google how much it would cost to dry clean it. I found this quite insulting and it was as if I was bothering him. My coat is ruined at the back, I felt it was very badly dealt with. Accidents happen and I understand this but the manner in which it was dealt with was embarrassing to me. The waitress did try to wipe my coat but unfortunately it didn't help, as I said the waitress was very nice.

Went for a family meal here on Sunday. I rang ahead to book and ask what was on the kids menu. Was told they had pasta bolognese amongst other dishes so decided to go ahead as I knew the kids would be happy. When we got there we asked for the bolognese for the kids to be told that they don't have it. The kids were dissapointed so two of them just decided to have plain pasta. I had roast beef which was nice and my wife had the steak, egg and chips, this wasn't actually a steak but beef strips, mediocre, the kids asked if they could have dessert from the kids menu but I was told that none of the desserts on the kids menu were available. Bear in mind that the menus were printed on unlaminated A4 paper.

As for Covid 19 precautions, none of the staff wore masks or even visors and were on top of one another never mind being 1 or 2 metres apart. Menus were printed on unlaminated A4 paper so impossible to sanitize. They weren't disposed of after each use either. Cutlery was already on the tables when we sat down, FSA have some common sense guidance on how food businesses should operate. Management would do well to have a read of it.

When we asked for the bill they tried to charge us for pasta bolognese even though we got the pasta minus the bolognese.

Overall this was a very disappointing experience. The girl that served us tried her best but management direction and leadership was lacking. I visited brogans many times and its always up and down. Its such a shame as its a lovely location. I won't be in a hurry to eat here again.

My two cousins and I stayed at Brogan’s B & B on May 10, 2022. Room 11 was in disrepair. The blinds wouldn’t open or close or lift up, so I had to gather them up to access the window latch (which was also broken) in order to open the window. The shower valve wouldn’t move at all, so I couldn’t take a shower. The toilet seat was only attached by one bolt so it slid around when used. Room 6 had issues with their toilet not flushing properly.
The breakfast was a very modest continental style. Every other b & b we stayed in served a plentiful breakfast, including yogurt, fresh fruit, homemade breads, cereals and hot breakfast choices.
I have to commend the reception staff for being responsive to my comments when mentioned the morning we checked out . They were very apologetic and appreciated being told so that they could address the necessary repairs.
I had stayed here 15 years ago with friends and had a satisfactory accommodation.

The hotel itself is lovely (beautiful old building, good location, nice rooms etc..) and most of the staff were very nice, HOWEVER the bedroom's are all built around a courtyard, facing directly onto the courtyard that contains a beer garden and has live music or DJs set up in the courtyard during the weekend. Its like the entertainment is in your bedroom with you. (see photo - taken from our bedroom window). There is no way you will be able to sleep until the music has ended and the guests in the beer garden have vacated the area. The hotel does NOT tell you this until they showing you to your room. They do send mails saying they have an entertainment area they "MAY" have an event you would like to join while staying there. What they don't tell you is that you have no choice but to join in the entertainment as you can not avoid the music from your rooms. They should make this crystal clear to guests when booking the hotel - if you are OK to head to bed at 1am earliest then fine. If you want to get to sleep before that do not stay at this hotel. I would not have booked the room if I had known this in advance.

What a gem. Excellent accommodation. Very lively bar, great food, live music.
Check in quick and easy. Receptionist so knowledgeable and helpful, we arrived about 8pm and nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly lady who took time to show us to our room and chat with us.
Room was beautiful, very clean, bed was kingsize abd comfy. Room was on ground floor but we couldn't hear any noise from the bar area.
Breakfast was cooked to order so hot fresh, tasty and non greasy and service was brilliant, our server checked back with us a few times during breakfast.
Overall an excellent experience.

Great location. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room and en-suite were spotless and well equipped. Bed so comfortable. The food was great and there was a nice atmosphere in the bar and beer gardens. Parking is available just across the road from the bar and is very reasonable Would definitely recommend. I hope to be back soon

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel has a great colourful inner courtyard to sit in on warm days and nights. The bar area is comfortable and where breakfast is served. The restaurant is very good, food good quality and fairly priced. We were lucky that a band was playing in the Bakers Loft, a big room with lots of seating. Car parking is just over the road at €2.00 for a 24 hour stay. If you are thinking of staying in Trim we would recommend Brogans.

My friends booked a 2 night stay for May this year .she booked it through the Supervalu breaks. She received a call yesterday 21st Jan, 2 days after the booking was fully confirmed and a disposit was paid and excepted by Supervalu to say that BROGANS had rang Supervalu breaks and cancelled her booking for an agreed rate of. €280 which is NOT cheap. They used the excuse that they only do the breaks Mon -Thurs ..I contacted BROGANS and asked why they would not honour the booking as I live close by and recommend the place to my friends.
The member of staff was extremely rude and stated the the Boss was not available
and she took it upon herself to contact Supervalu breaks and cancel. I then asked seen as the Boss was off, when she returned this morning for her to contact me . I have Heard nothing all day . So I certainly would NOT recommend BROGANS to anyone thinking for visiting Trim and staying here . The customer care is appuling and it would appear from our experience dealing with these people that they are only in this Business the make as much money as possible from people visiting the town. We have since booked alternative Accommodation at a reasonable rate and there are many other excellent places to stay in Trim that have respect for customers. So please do not waste your money or time dealing with this establishment.

Hi Amandameathireland, Unfortunately this was a mistake on behalf of the company you booked through. We were not in a position to accept as we had not signed up for weekend offers. Management did try to contact you several times however was unsuccessful. I do apologize for any inconvenience they may have caused. Regards Management
