Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location, great staff, lovely and clean and a comfy bed for a good night's sleep. No car so unable to comment on parking but a great place. Two minutes walk into town, Castle etc. Apparently TripAdvisor insists on a minimum of two hundred characters so it looks like I'm done 😁😁

Ground floor room as requested, but disappointing. This room shared the bars noisy courtyard. We had no natural ventilation, because we had one big window which we had to keep closed because of the partying right outside the window. Our bed consisted of 2 singles pushed together resulting in a hard uncomfortable ridge right down the centre (a good mattress topper would resolve this). TV reception was terrible it was impossible to watch . Booking in staff were friendly and accomodating.

I loved Brogan's. We had a great dinner, walked down the block to take pictures of the castle and abbey and then bought last minute tickets to a local theater production taking place upstairs at Brogan's. We could have stayed up for the live music, but were too exhausted. We had a great time!

We were extremely disappointed with our stay here. The woman who checked us in was not friendly at all. The room we were given was off the courtyard of the pub and although it was a relatively quiet night for them, the few customers that were drinking and smoking in the courtyard sounded like they were in our room. The bathroom and bedroom were very dimly lit and poorly decorated. We loved the town of Trim but were sorry we had chosen to stay here.

An old brewery converted into a fine hotel and restaurant and pub. Beware the live music on Friday nights you will drink too much sleep too well but compensated by a fine breakfast. The castle is worth a visit the town interesting and quaint. Highly recommended and the evening meal was also very good.

We stopped in for a couple of beers and some light food. Old time atmosphere with decent selection of beers. We tried the deep fried Brie which was plenty along a couple of draft beers. I liked the atmosphere and prices were reasonable. Located on the main road, it is worth checking out.
