The garden was such a lovely first impression of Highfield House and Geraldine was a charming hostess. The breakfast was great and nicely presented - best fruit and yogurt ever! Perfect location, just across the street from the donkeys and a short walk to the castle, close to restaurants and pubs. We certainly enjoyed our stay here.

We had room 6, which was lovely and had a fantastic view of the beautiful garden. The facilities were great and we had a great time staying at Highfield House. It was almost across the street from Trim Castle and walking distance to the town. Would definitely stay again and strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Trim.

Geraldine was amazing as a hostess. She told us of places of interest in the area to check out. The rooms were clean and big, and we were literally across the street from Trim Castle grounds. Breakfast (the full Irish of course) was cooked to perfection! I stayed a second night later in my visit, the WiFi was out (through no fault of my hosts), and Geraldine was nice enough to allow me to use here phone to make a quick call home. Truly a great experience here.

We only had one overnight in Trim after landing in Dublin, but what a lovely time we had! Our host welcomed us with so much genuine warmth and gave us some quick tips for sightseeing and dining. This gorgeous old home is located on a hill overlooking the town, with a lovely garden and above all, peace for the weary traveler! We walked into town, visited with the local donkeys, saw Trim Castle and had delicious fish & chips overlooking the river. Then a comfortable, quiet night followed by another perfect stroll in the morning to see the ruins of an old abbey, Cannot recommend this B & B highly enough. Wish we could have stayed another night or two!

Cozy B & B within walking distance of Trim Castle and the wide variety of Pubs and Restaurants in town. Very accommodating hosts. Breakfast was superb. Tell them what you would like and they will do it for you. They are taking all the COVID precautions to provide a safe stay. Parking is available on site. There are lovely paths for walking along the river. Be sure you say hee-haw to the family of Donkeys across the road.

A group of my colleagues and I stayed in this beautiful house for a brief work trip to Trim. Geraldine could not have been more obliging and welcoming. Stunning house full of character and so homely. Beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Being terrified of the thought of driving on the left side of the road and being discouraged by the high hotel prices in Dublin, we chose Highfield House in Trim, County Meath. Access to Dublin was easy via the hourly bus line 111 which picks up just across the river from the B&B. The room and public spaces were clean and gave the impression of staying in a museum. The cooked breakfast was delicious. Yes, we would stay here again. Restaurants and pubs were within easy walking distance.
