Arrived in Dublin at 5 am and headed out to Highfield House hoping to get an early check-in and get some sleep. Geraldine graciously checked us in and after a much needed nap, we headed off to Trim Castle which was conveniently located across the street. Our extended family of 9 (including 2 children ages 9 and 6) enjoyed the...

This was the first place I spent the night in Ireland and I was spoiled for the rest of the trip! Lovely garden greets you as you drive up the hill. When you park and turn around you can see the abbey ruins and part of Trim Castle plus the river Boyne. The rooms we had were comfy and lovely...

We checked into the Highfield House for two nights beginning on a Saturday, April 1. The staff were very friendly and quick to smile or laugh. We were shown our room and handed an old-fashioned metal key, which is always fun for a visiting American like me. Our room was small (read cozy), and one wall was made up of...

Geraldine was very accommodating and helpful. Room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Common area was excellent and the breakfast selection was way beyond the standard "Full Irish Breakfast". The location was super--walking distance to town center and the castle.

We arrived late after a long day touring Waterford. Geraldine was expecting us and showed us to our room. Comfortable and spacious room. Since we were leaving before the included breakfast, she asked if we wanted Continental Breakfast in the morning. Coffee, scones, and bread greeted us early the next morning. Centrally located in Trim and not to be missed.

This was a great place, probably the nicest B&B at which we stayed in Ireland. Really nicely decorated and nice breakfast. Great hosts. The only reason this was a 4 instead of a 5 is that there was only a bath, and no shower in our room. The bathtub had an attachment with a portable shower nozzle, but there were...

Highfield House is outstanding and we cannot recommend it enough. From a warm welcome, immaculate rooms, stunning scenery, scrumptious breakfast and picturesque surroundings - this B&B has it all. To top it all off this wonderful residence is just a stroll away from Trim's bustling bars and restaurants. A memorable weekend away and we will be back!

My wife and I visited Ireland for our 25th anniversary. Trim was our last full day before departing in the morning. I only wish that we had gotten to experience this place longer and earlier. The place is across from a great castle (Trim Castle), which we could see from our room. There were fresh scones, and coffee and tea...
