We stayed two nights at the B&B. Both Ann and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. The we nice to give us a lift into town to attend a friends wedding. The breakfast was a lovely traditional full Irish breakfast. We had a very good time there and would be happy to stay again.

We were suppose to stay in Carlingford but looked for accomodations closer to the airport since we had an early morning flight, so we choose Crannmor Country Guest House in Trim. Anne O'Regan could not have been a better host, helping us to print boarding passes, warning to arrive at airport three hours early to clear customs, and recommendind a lovely, in-expensive restaurant for dinner, the Dunderry Lodge. After dinner, we had time to visit the Hills of Tara and the Tower and Abbey sites along the River Boyne that our host recommended and gave directions to. Now we want to go back to sample the breakfast since we had to leave so early. Nice job Anne.

My husband and I returned to Ireland for the 3rd time and once again spent two nights in Trim at Cranmore B&B. We do not feel like customers, but friends and it was like coming home. Our room was beautifully decorated ... elegant yet very comfortable. Marc and Anne are gracious and welcomed us with open arms. The breakfasts were wonderful and we loved being in the field with the baby lambs, visiting the chickens, horses and baby ducks. Marc and Anne always have good advice for dining and entertainment. We hope to return again. Thank you Marc and Anne for another wonderful holiday!

Cranmor was the last B&B we stayed in during our tour of Ireland, and it suffers in comparison to some of the other B&B's we stayed at. When we arrived, our host took us to the room we were supposed to be staying in, but it had been given to another patron. We were then shown to another room which seemed to be an overflow room which was not normally used for patrons. Instead of the double room we had reserved, we received a room with two twin beds, and were told, "it's all that's left". We were then asked in an abrupt manner if we wanted a dinner recommendation, and referred to a local restaurant, after which our host quickly departed. Breakfast was very good, but after our experience, I would not recommend this B&B to friends.

Wonderful - we much appreciated everything - the warm welcome, the clean, beautifully maintained rooms, the superb breakfast choices (fine generous cooked breakfasts or god selection of cereals/fruit). Recommended!

This was our last stop in Ireland and a disappointing one. While the hosts were warm and very helpful, there was little space to maneuver in our bedroom. We were asked the night before what we wanted for breakfast, rather than have any choices offered, so we had no idea what food was available.. The soap dispenser was broken, the shower gel dispenser was empty, and we had three small towels for the two of us. We were disappointed that the only public sitting room was at the dining table, so we were stuck in our tight quarters. However, Ann kindly left food in a cooler with fixings for tea and coffee so we could have something to eat before our very early morning departure back to the states.

Response from Anne O, Owner at Crannmor B & B
Responded 8 Sept 2014
This is the 1st occasion in 15 years that a reference to this room size has been made . The room meets the room size requirements for Failte Ireland registration. You were asked whether you would like a cooked Irish breakfast or continental and your request was recorded in the menu book. We attended to issues related to toiletries and towels immediately and thank you for bringing it to our attention and apologies for any inconvenience caused. At Crannmor we welcome guests to our home and try to give them a relaxed and warm Irish country experience . Fortunately we succeed on most occasions to realise our guests expectations . This guest was registered under a different name and not the one used in the review.

I have looked back at the high ratings and am surprised. We stayed at 4 B&B's while in Ireland and gave 3 our highest ratings. While the hosts were, indeed, very friendly here, the room and bath were not great. Because of our late booking we had the small twin room and it was not very comfortable. The bath room was cheaply done (toilet seat coming off, etc) and lighting was very bad. A bath towel had a big hole in it. Neither the room or bathroom felt very clean. It is possible another room might have been better (certainly they looked more attractive and roomier). The breakfast was OK, not notable. The house and garden were attractive and the 45 minute drive to the airport was fine. However, we left on a Saturday and wondered if traffic would be a problem on a week day.

Response from Anne O, Owner at Crannmor B & B
Responded 29 Aug 2014
The review title and opening sentence connect to guest reviews and Tripadvisor standards which we consider to be outside our remit to comment on. The initial request was for a double room on the 22nd of August made in early July, no such room was available and this was communicated to the clients. We indicated that should a cancellation occur for a double room we would make the change, this did not happen. The twin ensuite room is a standard size room and the comment " Neither the room or bathroom felt clean " we do not accept , a room is either clean or not. Loose fitting on toilet seat fixed and bath towel traced , our apologies in this regard. Despite apparent convivial conversations at no time were any of the complaints brought to our attention something we appreciate and attend to immediately.

We stayed at the Crannmor for two nights, wrapping up a twelve day trip to Ireland. The room was fantastic and our hostess, Anne, was the best. I highly recommend that you stay here if you are in Trim. She is only about five minutes out of town, no problem and its quiet. If you do stay, take Anne's advice for food and you won't be disappointed. Both nights, we went where she suggested and both were wonderful.

My husband and I had to change our schedule last minute, and Crannmor, thankfully, could accommodate us. Good-sized room with twin beds and bathroom. This is a quiet, scenic location with a kind host, Anne. Had we stayed more than one night, I would've liked to explore/enjoy the grounds more. Anne gave us some recent history of the Trim Castle, beyond the castle tour guide. Thank you, Anne, for the hospitality.

Anne and Mark, the proprietors of Crannmor B&B, are wonderful hosts who immediately made us feel welcome and continued to do so throughout our stay! We looked forward to the delicious breakfasts Anne prepared and the equally enjoyable conversations with Anne and Mark. The house is lovely and just a few miles outside of Trim, making it convenient to see the sites and pubs of Trim and the surrounding countryside. We spent three nights there, which worked out perfect as we went straight from the Dublin Airport to Crannmor to relax the first night and then to sightsee the surrounding areas the next two days.
