Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This facility is not a single house, but rather a collection of apartments and cottages in the countryside 3.5 miles southwest of Trim. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. There were dozens of people staying on-site but it was by no means crowded. The Internet service was the best that we had during our trip, because it required a password and there was no “Unsecure” message. We liked having room to unpack for a couple nights and being able to fix our own breakfasts, packed lunches, and dinners. The proprietor, Deirdre, provided us with eggs, bread, and milk as a starting point. She was quick to respond when we wanted to check in and after I notified her that we were leaving.

We stayed in one of the cottages with 2 older kids. Decorated to high level, very clean and well equipped kitchen. Location is 10 min drive from Trim and also used it as a base to drive into Dublin (~1 hr) and other Boyne valley historic sites. Peaceful location and setting, next to a farm, wonderful nights sleep.

Wish we stayed longer. This is a peaceful space, with rolling fields with sheep, cows and horses to look at. We flew into Dublin early in the morning and many travelers suggest not making downtown Dublin your first driving experience on the wrong side of the road. We got reservations for the burial room at Newgrange in the morning and after exploring the sites there, stayed overnight here. The place deserves the five stars given by reviewers. Our suite was well appointed and comfortable, perfect to recover from a red eye flight.

Very peaceful cottages on an Irish farm. A Short drive through pastures of cows and sheep just a few minutes outside of Trim. It was a great location to see the the sites of Trim and the Boyne Valley. The cottages are very modern and have nice kitchenettes. Ours even had a washing machine. No breakfast provided but bread, eggs and milk were supplied which we enjoyed cooking up ourselves.

By far, the finest guest house/airbnb/hotel we have ever stayed in. From our initial greeting with Deirdre to the expansive beautiful grounds and the spotless clean and fully appointed lodge we stayed in - it was beyond our comprehension. Incredibly quiet at night and extremely comfortable bed - we could easily see ourselves staying for a week or LONGER! Just an amazing property that could charge twice their current rate and we would still come. Thank you Deirdre (and Anton) and Boyne View house for an amazing stay!

The area was lovely even in the rain. The sheep, cattle were grazing as we drove up the road to the main house which was beautiful. We were greeted by Deirdre, the owner who showed us a bit of the interior as we walked up the stairs to where we were to stay that night. The room was spotlessly clean as was the attached bathroom. I would suggest staying at least two nights; it’s an idyllic place.

We wanted somewhere close to family in the North West of Dublin. At 35 mins drive Boyne View was the perfect home from home. We stayed in one of the cottages. Set next to a working farm overlooking the River Boyne and just outside the picture postcard town of Trim, this place was everything we could ask for and more. Our host Deidre was friendly and welcoming. I expect we will be back at Boyne View again.

We stayed two nights at the main building second floor room. Room was really nice like was the whole place. Cleaning was done well. They do not offer breakfast which was the minus point. But I did read the reviews that in chalet or cabin in a fridge were breakfast supplies. We did not have anything so all the customers are not equal which is a big minus. The cows were nice and they liked singing.

Mirja, Your booking was last minute. On early arrival you acknowledged that you had travelled from Roscommon that you found it difficult to find accommodation. I am sure you booked our accommodation out of necessity rather than choice. Your confirmation from booking.com states clearly that no meals are provided. There is a fridge, coffee maker and kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the room. It was obvious from cleaning on both days that you did eat food before you set off each day. We restocked tea, coffee, milk etc and cleaned the china, glasses and put fresh milk in the fridge where you had food stored. Our self-catering lodges and cottages are fully equipped with cooking facilities and we put a welcome pack of the essentials in for guests. As there are no cooking facilities in the Room Only Option it is not possible to leave a welcome pack. I do not agree with your comment that customers are not equal. The rate for Room Only is considerably less than the rate for our Full Self-Catering Option. Guests like to have choice and book accordingly. I hope that you enjoyed the remaining few days of your holiday in Ireland. Kind Regards Deirdre Boyne View House

We stayed in the Boyne view apartments. There are now 5 apartments. We were happily surprised with the comfort and the size of the appartment ourswas namedTailtu. It sleeps 2 couples. Beds were very comfortable. We were only 2 people so there was ample space. It had a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Showers were hotand strong. A outdoor terrace with a table and 4 chairs. We loved staying here we were here 4 nights. Rhianon checked us and could not have been more helpful and so very friendly. We chatted with both Antony and Deirde and got some great advice for things to do in the locality.

What a great place - wish we could have stayed longer. A working family farm a few miles out of the town of Trim and on the Boyne River. Great old house, wonderful dining room, great rooms. Hosts Deirdre & Tony Hoey were so welcoming and hospitable!

We stayed there a few weeks ago and had a Saturday flight that departed at ten. Give yourself a solid three hours. We had plenty of time and ended up getting breakfast at the airport. Car rental return is fairly simple, but you need the time to get through check-in and American customs (you won’t need to go through customs when you get back to the states!)
