This is an excellent hotel with great staff in reception, bar/restaurant and breakfast service. Even the night porter had removed snow on walkway out back to carpark shows quality of service. Very positive, friendly helpful and courteous staff in tough times. The food was good both breakfast and evening meal. Range of food available in tough times for the industry was very good. Customer service excellent. Shout out to management owners as well for keeping up excellent standards in tough financial times. Places like this deserve to be packed out when we get back to normal. I will certainly be back 100%.

Where to start! The day was magical from start to finish. From the first time we stepped into the hotel for the wedding fair we were made to feel so welcome and wanted, like one of the family. The family feel and personal touch is truly felt at the Headfort Arms and does not disappear, even after the wedding is over.Edel is like a fairy godmother who looks after everything effortlessly, nothing is too big or too small, her attention to detail makes you truly feel at ease.In a year that was harder than most, with new challenges every week, the entire staff, including the Duff family themselves, kept us up to date through all stages to reassure us and offer alternative ways to make our day special. The hotel looked amazing on the day and really felt personalised to us, we were treated like royalty for the entire time we were there, as were our guests. The food is 5 star and locally sourced from the Boyne Valley, their passion for quality produce really shows in their food which was outstanding for all dietary requirements including vegetarian and vegan. There were lovely surprises throughout the day from the hotel, that show how much they value every guest, you are not just one of many.I honestly cannot express enough how much we, and all our guests, loved our stay, from the beauty of the hotel, to the wonderful staff, that were like family for our stay, to the mouth watering food, the Headfort Arms Hotel is above and beyond it's 4 stars!

We arrived and the check-in was and seamless. Given the fact we were in a pandemic we felt very safe. The staff couldn't do enough for you. There was a real family feel to the place and they took such pride in dealing with their customers. The rooms were spotless and spacious, bed were very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and I have eaten all over the world, from Italy, Vegas Mexico and this food was off the charts. Braised beef was incredible. Even my brother in law said it was the nicest food he has ever tasted. Don't know if it was a fluke but I'm coming back. Amazing experience and also a lovely pint of Guinness. Thanks to all the staff. Oh yeah the breakfast was amazing, so maybe the beef wasn't a fluke. Thanks to all the staff and happy Christmas.

Covid restrictions complicated things, but that was not the fault of the hotel. Food was good, staff friendly and attentive. Rooms were a good size and comfortable and clean. Pity about the view. Would recommend the Headfort arms.
