Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited this evening for dinner. Absolutely fabulous food. Great menu. The food was very fresh and large portions. Family of 5, and all thoroughly enjoyed our meal . All staff were very friendly. Highly recommend. Will visit again when visiting the area.

We stayed for one night on New Year's Eve and had a wonderful stay. We were checked in by a lovely receptionist who upgraded us to room 103 as our room wasn't ready. Thank you Tammy. We had a lovely dinner that evening, food was delicious as always. Thanks to all the great staff nothing was a problem to them, also a special mention to Patrick for everything and esp the fab cocktail he recommended :) Breakfast was also very tasty. Thanks to everyone, we will be back. This is also a great hotel for anyone visiting Knock Shrine, its just about 10 mins drive.

Went for dinner with friend - menu was large with many great options! Bartender and waitress were both lovely and friendly. Food was top quality we came very late so the kitchen was closed before we could have dessert. I am sure I will be back to try again!

Good welcome on arrival, the hotel is clean and warm. The beds are good and the showers are very very good. I’ve never written a review mainly about the shower but this was noteworthy LOL. Simple to use, easy to find the right temperature and lots of water - what you would want from a shower. Breakfast is also very good with lots of choices in drinks pastries and traditional irish breakfast. Brown bread was also good.

Very disappointed as the room was so cold. Nobody answered at reception so we had to call external number to speak to someone. He put heat on for just 10 minutes. Room was so cold we had to sleep fully clothed. We paid &161 excluding breakfast which we additionally paid €15 each for. Breakfast was fine until I asked for a Cappuccino for breakfast, only to be told that would be extra. My husband complained on check out but was fobbed off with all sorts of excuses . Overall very disappointing. We are going to Mayo next weekend and had intended staying there but definitely not after our experience.

Return visit to stay while meeting family and friends. The Park is a lovely friendly hotel. First impressions - friendly helpful team, spotlessly clean, spacious well equipped rooms. Easy access to all local amenities. This time we found ourselves in a room which was clearly disability friendly. Well thought out and very accessible, as an ex nurse I would recommend. The only issue being the heavy corridor doors but I have no doubt that the staff would be happy to assist. Breakfast was lovely, everything you can think of on offer. We also had Sunday lunch which was fab! All in all highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the area.

Stayed for a week, for a friend's 70th birthday party. The first room we were given (107) had a problem with the double glazing which had blown and was opaque - ie no view (see photo). It's rated four star but some things I expected were missing, like a room safe for example. The room was a bit tired all round and the shower very slippery, but there was no shower mat available. The next day we asked to be moved and were shown a room overlooking the car park. No thanks. On day three Joe from reception showed us room 109 which was much better, having been refurbished, and the shower wasn't slippery, so we moved. Good old Joe! The staff were friendly, and the hotel is well situated for local amenties and the shrine at Knock. The hotel is on a quite busy road and the traffic noise got a bit annoying (lots of tractors and lorries). The restaurent food was acceptable, but the menu is short and I imagine that most guests only stay for a couple of nights. But we were there for a week, so the choice was limited. The included breakfast was OK, but not much choice if you don't eat meat. The public rooms, reception and so on are nicer than the bedrooms. Quite pricey all round, but I suspect there's not much competition locally.
