We had a great time there! The service is amazing, it is the best place we stayed in Costa Rica : the price is correct, the rooms are very clean and the breakfast is hudge (toasts, pancakes, gallo pinto, eggs, juice, fruits)! The staff is very helpful and the owners are so nice and friendly! We got a room with...

We really enjoyed our stay at Historias Lodge. Alba is so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and she is keen to do everything to ensure you have the best stay possible. On arrival she quickly booked us all of the trips and activities that we wanted to take part in, helping us to select good options and...

Historias Lodge was fantastic. They picked us up from SJO and greeted us with coffee and cookies after the 3 hour drive. Alba told us about the activities around town and booked all of the ones we had time for. Transportation came to the hotel to pick us up, making it super easy. The rooms were clean and the beds...

What a friendly place this lodge is. Nothing is too much trouble. Whatever you need, the reception staff will organise it for you. They really want to help! The included breakfast is amazing - cereals, fresh fruit, fresh pancakes, fresh juice, gallo pinto (beans + rice) - cooked to order. Outside the dining room window, you can watch the hummingbirds...

The rooms are all different and have lovely character, the rooms are cleaned every day to a very high standard and extra blankets for the chilly nights. Alba and everyone at Historia Lodge make you feel like your part of the family,...

I was apprehensive about staying in this area because of what I read, however, Historias Lodge eased my worries. The lodge is VERY clean and tasteful. Alba welcomed us with a smile and took time to explain the area to us. She also helped to set up tours and made great recommendations for restaurants. Danilo was our tour guide and...

I spent one night in Monteverde for a quick tour of the El Trapiche tour and a night walk. But the people at Historias were so friendly and kind that I wanted to stay longer. I felt like a long time friend returning from a long absence. I would go back to Historias..... the atmosphere was wonderful. The rooms were...

My husband and I spent 2 weeks traveling around Costa Rica last month for our belated honeymoon, and without a doubt, the highlight of our trip was our stay at Historias Lodge! Just far enough off the beaten track to get you away from the tourists, the location is accessible to both Monteverde and Santa Elena and has an abundance...

My wife and I simply loved this place. After an awful stay at Manakin Lodge, we came here and did not regret it. Friendly, helpful staff and a nice room (for the price). The lady at the front desk was so nice to us; she helped us save money on bus transfers and even let me use the phone at...

Location is close to downtown and the staff is helpful in arranging tours and seeing to your every need. The breakfast was the best, as it included pancakes too ! Our room also...
